Bad Bunny at the Super Bowl, Epstein Files, The Scariest AI Update Yet
00:00:00.320 So, what’s the biggest news in AI this
00:00:03.360 week that will absolutely stun you if
00:00:05.759 you haven’t heard it yet? We’re going to
00:00:07.839 cover that topic and a lot more of this
00:00:09.920 show. Hey, Megan, how’s it going today?
00:00:12.320 >> It’s fabulous.
00:00:14.000 >> It’s always It’s so windy, so my hair
00:00:15.519 gets messed up walking out.
00:00:17.680 >> So, we got a lot to talk about. We’ve
00:00:19.840 got the Epstein files that were in the
00:00:22.240 news this week. We’ve got Bad Bunny at
00:00:24.400 the Super Bowl this week.
00:00:25.519 >> Bad Bunny, you Bad Bunny. a lot of
00:00:27.920 issues with AI that we want to talk
00:00:29.920 about and then uh some other
00:00:31.599 miscellaneous things. Where do you want
00:00:33.120 to start? Want to start?
00:00:33.920 >> I don’t know. I have been posting a lot
00:00:36.239 and everyone’s like, "Megan, you’re
00:00:37.760 posting a lot." Well, yeah. I’m trying
00:00:39.280 to be a little bit newsy since we’re
00:00:40.960 doing the podcast because it helps me
00:00:43.520 learn as well what’s going on uh across
00:00:47.120 America or elsewhere. I feel like if I
00:00:50.000 read about it and I start posting about
00:00:52.160 it, I can hear people’s opinions about
00:00:54.079 it because I don’t think that my opinion
00:00:56.800 is always perfect. So, I like to post
00:00:59.600 things and then I can read what people
00:01:01.520 are sharing or what they think about it
00:01:04.239 so that maybe maybe they’ll sway me,
00:01:06.000 maybe they won’t. Maybe it’ll make me be
00:01:08.000 more solid in my thinking of the
00:01:11.360 situation.
00:01:11.920 >> We’ve had some of those posts that have
00:01:13.360 really blown up. One of them had what, a
00:01:15.760 million and a half views. and other ones
00:01:17.600 closing in on that as well.
00:01:19.119 >> Yeah. And I can’t get to all the
00:01:21.040 comments because it’s just way too many.
00:01:23.040 But I do want to talk about something
00:01:24.560 that it was really interesting the other
00:01:26.799 day. I was scrolling on Instagram and if
00:01:29.280 I see something and I think, "Oh, that
00:01:30.799 sounds cute. I want to share it." Let’s
00:01:32.799 say it’s a saying. And this saying came
00:01:34.799 up and said, "The truth tellers are
00:01:37.040 hated and the fake ones are loved." Like
00:01:39.439 almost like people that are fake are
00:01:42.400 loved and you feel hated when you’re
00:01:45.040 telling the truth,
00:01:46.079 >> right? But what was interesting to me
00:01:47.840 and it made me pause is I wanted to
00:01:49.840 share it because I’m like, yeah, you
00:01:52.960 know, I feel like I’m telling the truth
00:01:54.640 and then the people that aren’t are the
00:01:57.439 ones who are loved. But isn’t that kind
00:02:00.240 of almost everybody? I don’t think
00:02:02.880 anybody’s I mean, unless you’re a fake
00:02:05.920 criminal or something, I think most
00:02:07.600 people believe they are in the realm of
00:02:10.000 truth. But what is truth unless you’re
00:02:12.640 talking about the Bible? And even if you
00:02:14.080 don’t believe in the Bible, you may
00:02:15.440 interpret it differently if you do
00:02:17.440 believe in it as well. But everybody is
00:02:21.280 out there believing they are telling the
00:02:23.520 truth. Well, you are. You’re basing it
00:02:25.920 on your experience on this planet,
00:02:28.319 >> right?
00:02:29.200 >> You’re experiencing it from your
00:02:31.360 advantage point, where you were born,
00:02:33.840 your parents, how much money they had or
00:02:36.400 didn’t have. Your experience, your
00:02:39.120 experience is true to you. So, you may
00:02:42.560 think, "Lady, man, you don’t know what
00:02:45.120 real life is." Well, my life feels real
00:02:48.800 to me. I’ve gone through the things that
00:02:51.360 I’ve gone through that felt very real
00:02:53.120 and painful, and so have you. So, I
00:02:55.599 didn’t share that quote. Instead, I
00:02:57.599 wrote a post about it because honestly,
00:03:01.440 we are all coming from a place that we
00:03:04.480 feel we’re the truth givers.
00:03:07.280 >> Yeah. You know, I I joke around and I
00:03:09.040 like to talk about those universal
00:03:10.480 truths that that there are things that
00:03:12.080 hold true to everybody. And I think
00:03:13.840 that’s a great one to add. I always say
00:03:15.760 everybody thinks they have a great sense
00:03:17.120 of humor. Everybody thinks they have a
00:03:18.720 high pain tolerance. Everybody, you
00:03:21.200 know, thinks they have it harder and
00:03:22.720 work harder than everybody else. And now
00:03:24.640 let’s add in everybody thinks that they
00:03:27.519 always speak the truth uh as opposed to
00:03:29.920 everybody else.
00:03:31.040 >> Yeah.
00:03:31.599 >> Yeah.
00:03:31.840 >> I think so. You know what’s interesting
00:03:33.760 too that we’ve seen is the response to
00:03:38.799 your posts from both sides, both
00:03:42.000 conservatives and liberals, because you
00:03:45.280 tend to be very moderate in what you say
00:03:48.720 and and you do it from really an
00:03:51.120 objective standard where you kind of sit
00:03:53.200 back and you say, "I’m not buying into
00:03:55.840 any one side because that’s the side I’m
00:03:58.560 aligned with. I’m looking at everything
00:04:00.959 critically and whether I believe that
00:04:04.159 it’s the truth. And so you’ll say things
00:04:06.400 you that don’t always align with
00:04:09.120 conservative sides that you know don’t
00:04:11.760 always trigger liberal sides and and
00:04:14.720 vice versa. And when you do that, when
00:04:17.120 you’re more moderate like that, you’ve
00:04:19.040 been attacked from both sides.
00:04:21.040 >> Well, I don’t purposely be moderate. I
00:04:23.360 am very intentional with what I’m
00:04:25.600 thinking on my own. So even if I’m not
00:04:28.000 posting it, this is how I think. I will
00:04:30.720 immediately think something and then I
00:04:32.240 will question that thinking saying,
00:04:34.080 Megan, why do you think that? Because I
00:04:35.919 really do enjoy unraveling even my own
00:04:39.520 thinking. And so for instance, we can
00:04:43.680 talk about Bad Bunny. Sure,
00:04:45.280 >> people are really mad about that. People
00:04:47.120 are upset and I understand that. They’re
00:04:49.759 like, "It’s American football. This
00:04:51.440 shouldn’t be played."
00:04:53.520 >> Right. Family values are important.
00:04:55.280 >> Correct. And as a Christian, I actually
00:04:57.360 got a personal message. How why would
00:04:59.360 you ever support that? I never said I
00:05:01.840 supported it. What I said was we’re in
00:05:04.160 America and we’re in a melting pot. The
00:05:06.880 Super Bowl isn’t a church service
00:05:09.520 >> and it’s not government action either.
00:05:11.360 >> Correct. So if this is something that
00:05:13.199 they want to do, they are allowed. They
00:05:16.160 are allowed. And I’m not saying I’m for
00:05:19.440 it. I If you if you were to tell me,
00:05:22.479 Megan, there’s kids watching it. I get
00:05:24.720 that. I’m not saying I approve of it,
00:05:27.120 but just because I don’t approve of it
00:05:29.280 doesn’t mean I’m the judge and jury and
00:05:31.039 I get to say they don’t get to do that.
00:05:33.840 And that’s where I think that Christians
00:05:37.520 aren’t being like Jesus. They aren’t,
00:05:40.240 you know, you know, does Bad Bunny
00:05:44.720 identify as being a Christian? I don’t
00:05:47.280 know. And what one Corinth first one
00:05:50.720 Corinthians 5 says is we shouldn’t be
00:05:52.639 judging those outside the church.
00:05:54.320 >> Right?
00:05:54.800 >> And I think a lot of Christians end up
00:05:56.560 doing that. We end up saying, you know
00:05:58.160 what, this is wrong. Well, what are you
00:05:59.520 going to do? Just sit around Christians
00:06:00.800 all day preaching the same stuff so you
00:06:02.639 guys can build each other up? You’re
00:06:04.319 supposed to go out there and build
00:06:06.080 relationships and show people love? Just
00:06:08.560 because they sin differently than you
00:06:10.560 does not make them less than you. And I
00:06:13.039 truly truly believe that because I can
00:06:15.039 see the hearts of everyone. And I’m not
00:06:17.120 saying these sick sickos with Epstein,
00:06:19.440 that’s a whole another story. If you’re
00:06:20.800 eating babies and whatever they’re
00:06:22.319 doing, I mean,
00:06:24.400 I agree wholeheartedly. But the the the
00:06:27.360 attack that uh somebody posted in
00:06:31.360 relation to the bad budding thing to you
00:06:34.639 was
00:06:36.720 he he needs to be dealt with like
00:06:38.880 sinners need to be dealt with like
00:06:40.639 Hitler’s, like Stalins, like Bin
00:06:43.199 Laden’s. We need to eradicate sin. We
00:06:46.160 can’t have any room for any sin. And
00:06:49.759 >> wait, but isn’t he able to type on isn’t
00:06:52.400 he alive right now? He’s not a sinner.
00:06:54.880 >> No. Exactly. [laughter] Exactly.
00:06:57.120 >> He’s not a sinner that you’re typing and
00:06:58.800 judging someone else for being a sinner.
00:07:00.720 Get the plank out of your own eye.
00:07:02.800 >> Right. And and you know, recall that
00:07:05.440 Jesus approached sinners differently. He
00:07:10.000 called the Pharisees a brood of vipers.
00:07:12.560 And at the same time, he called a hated
00:07:15.039 tax collector to be one of his
00:07:17.039 disciples. He turned over the tables in
00:07:20.639 the temple. And and at at the same time,
00:07:24.240 he forgave the sins of the the woman at
00:07:26.800 the well. I mean, he approached sinners
00:07:29.280 differently depending on what was going
00:07:32.000 on. And and you don’t approach every
00:07:34.160 sinner the same way. And I think that’s
00:07:36.000 what that guy missed out on. And what
00:07:38.160 they’re not understanding is sin
00:07:40.319 originates from, [clears throat] excuse
00:07:43.120 me, home. And I think that it goes back
00:07:46.000 to us. I think a lot of people are
00:07:49.039 afraid. So they’re saying, you know,
00:07:50.639 you’re showing my kids this. No, you
00:07:52.160 are. You have to. You have the TV on. I
00:07:53.919 should be able to have the TV on. Says
00:07:56.319 who?
00:07:57.520 >> Like, okay, go put on something else.
00:08:00.080 No, it’s not fair. Well, okay. Maybe
00:08:02.800 they don’t feel it’s fair that
00:08:04.319 everything has to be about Christianity.
00:08:06.240 I mean, if you’re talking about American
00:08:08.080 standards,
00:08:09.120 >> right?
00:08:09.680 >> If I’m talking about my home, we watch
00:08:13.039 Vid Angel all the time. I mean, we’re
00:08:15.039 probably more um selective in what we
00:08:19.680 watch in our house because we have Vid
00:08:21.759 Angel on the all the time. And you go
00:08:23.280 down and you select everything you want
00:08:24.720 to take out. I mean, we even take out
00:08:26.080 kissing and cleavage. Oh, here I am with
00:08:27.919 cleavage.
00:08:31.560 [laughter]
00:08:35.519 I mean like heavy cleavage where you’re
00:08:38.159 bending over sexualized. Yes. Yes. Yeah.
00:08:40.880 No, we take that out. We
00:08:42.640 >> But like heavy cleavage where it’s like
00:08:44.720 every scene they’re like leaning into
00:08:46.959 people’s faces and you’re just like I’m
00:08:48.800 not saying women can’t be beautiful and
00:08:50.480 have their cleavage out or anything like
00:08:52.000 that, right?
00:08:52.720 >> But the second you’re
00:08:55.360 >> using it in a scene that is really
00:08:58.880 sexual, that’s the difference.
00:09:00.080 >> Yeah. And there’s so many times that
00:09:02.560 there’s absolutely no plot advancement,
00:09:06.240 no character advancement in some of the
00:09:08.880 shows and it’s just the gratuitous sex,
00:09:10.800 the gratuitous cleavage, the gratuitous
00:09:13.120 sexuality. So that those are the types
00:09:15.120 of things that we don’t see any point in
00:09:16.800 that. What’s what’s the reason to watch
00:09:18.080 it? But I like to ask Christians out
00:09:20.080 there, okay, let’s say we decide
00:09:23.519 everybody that sins um at this level of
00:09:26.800 sinning different than us because we’re
00:09:29.200 all sinners. You decide you you get to
00:09:31.839 be written off.
00:09:33.120 >> Well, God hasn’t written them off yet.
00:09:34.959 They’re still alive and breathing.
00:09:36.399 There’s still a chance for them to be
00:09:38.320 saved if that’s what you feel like you
00:09:40.160 want to do. If you feel like they’re not
00:09:42.160 >> right
00:09:42.880 >> and you think cutting them out is
00:09:46.720 showing love, you may not invite it into
00:09:49.839 your home to say, "I I agree with this
00:09:52.320 and this is what we’re going to do." But
00:09:55.440 to actually admonish them and act like
00:09:59.680 they’re Satan themselves
00:10:02.160 is is not what Jesus did. I’m sorry. And
00:10:04.720 he not only came here and there’s only
00:10:07.120 one Jesus to do miracles and to die for
00:10:11.519 us, he showed us how we should walk.
00:10:14.800 >> Totally. Totally. And and that’s that’s
00:10:17.600 important for people to realize, you
00:10:19.920 know, getting back to what you were
00:10:21.120 saying about everybody has their own
00:10:24.800 truth that it’s all really subjective to
00:10:28.399 how they were raised, what happened in
00:10:30.560 their life, those types of things. And
00:10:32.320 when they come to you and they’re
00:10:34.160 speaking their opinion, it’s all based
00:10:35.920 on what that is. And that’s why it’s so
00:10:38.320 important that, and this is something
00:10:40.800 that that we’ve learned from Jack with
00:10:43.440 all of his religious studies, is that
00:10:46.480 will always be the case. And the only
00:10:49.200 objective
00:10:51.040 way to point to truth and to judge what
00:10:54.320 we’re each doing on our own in terms of
00:10:57.360 whether it’s right or wrong is based on
00:10:59.200 the word of God in the Bible.
00:11:00.959 >> Right? I remember one time we were in
00:11:02.959 like a party city and the kid that was
00:11:05.760 checking you out had his nails painted
00:11:07.839 and you were like, "I’m so sick of these
00:11:10.320 kids painting their nails." And Jack
00:11:12.079 goes, "Who are you to judge, Ken?"
00:11:13.920 >> Yeah, I know. Just burns me up on the
00:11:15.440 inside when he’s right. [laughter]
00:11:18.160 >> No, but he did. He goes,
00:11:19.200 >> he was absolutely right.
00:11:20.160 >> Ken, who are you to judge? Right. Why
00:11:21.839 Why do you get to judge what he has on
00:11:23.600 his nails?
00:11:24.160 >> Yeah. His point was you don’t you don’t
00:11:26.240 know whether he’s a Christian or not. If
00:11:28.240 he’s a Christian,
00:11:29.760 >> is it wrong that he has nails painted? I
00:11:32.480 don’t know. But the point of it is is
00:11:34.640 >> we need to stop being the judge and jury
00:11:36.399 of everybody else. We need to show our
00:11:39.200 show who we are by doing Christian
00:11:42.240 things, right?
00:11:43.120 >> By acting in Christian ways.
00:11:44.800 >> Yeah. Yeah. Without a doubt. And it’s
00:11:46.480 hard to do. It’s hard to do. You I mean,
00:11:48.640 we have to agree with that. I mean, the
00:11:50.399 the fact that Bad Bunny is doing the
00:11:52.959 Super Bowl halftime show, it’s hard to
00:11:55.200 hear that. It’s hard to say, "Ah, geez,
00:11:57.040 that’s going to spoil the halftime show
00:11:58.560 for me. That’s not something I want to
00:12:00.959 see. I don’t want that."
00:12:02.480 >> It’s not hard for me. I mean, we’re
00:12:04.800 living in a society where, you know,
00:12:06.560 Skyla MTV used to be around. Every
00:12:09.519 single song and everything’s already
00:12:11.360 full of this,
00:12:12.399 >> right?
00:12:12.720 >> It’s already full of it.
00:12:14.160 >> But yet, the halftime show isn’t going
00:12:15.760 to have something that they haven’t
00:12:17.360 seen. I mean, Lady Gaga was in this
00:12:19.920 demonic dress the other day or demonic
00:12:22.800 thing that I mean, I should not say it
00:12:25.200 was demonic. I don’t know because I’m
00:12:27.839 not I don’t know. But it looked
00:12:32.880 red and dark and scary the way that she
00:12:35.920 was performing. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. And
00:12:38.480 so, you know, I showed Jack and I said,
00:12:40.160 "Jack, is this demonic?" And he he’s
00:12:42.480 listen and he’s tapping his foot. He
00:12:45.360 goes, "I don’t know." I’m like, "But he
00:12:48.079 goes,"Mom, all these artists are
00:12:49.600 theatrical." I’m like, "I know, but it
00:12:51.839 feels dark." But anyways, they’re okay
00:12:54.240 with that.
00:12:56.959 Well, maybe Christians aren’t. That’s
00:12:58.480 why I heard [laughter] it’s
00:13:01.760 But you can turn off your TV. No one’s
00:13:04.079 taking your face and forcing you to
00:13:05.920 watch it. And you can have your opinion,
00:13:07.839 and that opinion can shape the way you
00:13:10.320 raise your kids and shape the way you
00:13:12.399 live your life. But you don’t get to
00:13:14.240 control other people like that.
00:13:17.519 >> The other thing that that I found so I
00:13:21.040 don’t know if astonishing is the right
00:13:22.959 word or just maybe it was just
00:13:24.480 frustrating too was that some of these
00:13:27.360 posts where there’s like literally
00:13:31.279 thousands of comments below it that
00:13:33.839 you’ve had and it’s it’s arguments back
00:13:37.279 and forth between conservatives and
00:13:39.600 liberals. And one thing really struck
00:13:41.920 out to me and honestly I didn’t go
00:13:44.000 through all of them. I just don’t have
00:13:45.680 the time nor did I really have the
00:13:47.920 interest once the arguments start. Um,
00:13:50.720 but what was so interesting is so often,
00:13:53.760 and I’m I’m speaking specifically of the
00:13:56.720 interaction that you had with people, is
00:13:59.839 it seems like more conservativeleaning
00:14:04.000 people will more often, like you talk in
00:14:08.560 terms of logic, ration, facts. This is
00:14:11.600 what’s going on. Let you know, and
00:14:13.040 here’s my opinion. and you even have the
00:14:16.560 ability and the the the the grace to
00:14:19.360 say, "I see your side of it. Here’s
00:14:22.720 where I stand on it." And I have yet to
00:14:26.160 see
00:14:27.760 a single post in opposition to you that
00:14:32.160 adds that same grace saying, "Okay,
00:14:34.160 Megan, I understand where you’re coming
00:14:36.240 from with this. Here’s where I’m coming
00:14:38.959 from as well." and and line up and have
00:14:42.000 some sort of cordial conversation.
00:14:45.040 What’s the response that you have been
00:14:46.720 getting from the other side?
00:14:48.079 >> You’re ugly. You smell.
00:14:50.160 >> You’re a [ __ ] And it’s just And then
00:14:52.560 it’s we can’t talk to you or I can’t
00:14:54.480 talk to you. And it’s shut down. Yeah.
00:14:56.480 >> And it’s this lack of
00:14:59.920 civilized conversation and discourse
00:15:03.279 about a topic. Like I’ve said before, I
00:15:05.920 feel like a lot of people that go to the
00:15:07.519 right, whether they have had a tough
00:15:10.000 life or not, they have found a way to
00:15:14.720 communicate and to look for facts that
00:15:17.760 that they can find because they decided
00:15:20.800 me being a victim is not going to work.
00:15:22.880 And I’m not saying this is black and
00:15:24.399 white at all. However, there is a
00:15:27.839 majority of people that you see that are
00:15:30.079 business owners, more conservative, that
00:15:32.639 are um
00:15:35.279 have a certain way of life where a lot
00:15:38.800 of times on the left, and I hate
00:15:41.279 labeling people because there is a
00:15:43.040 mixture in both. So, if you’re on the
00:15:44.560 left and you’re like, I’m on the left
00:15:45.920 and I’m not like that. I get it. I’m not
00:15:47.519 saying everybody is.
00:15:48.480 >> We have friends that are like that.
00:15:49.920 >> Yes, we have family members, friends.
00:15:51.519 And so, I’m not saying you’re like that.
00:15:53.440 And I’m sure there’s a lot of really
00:15:55.120 hardworking liberals as well. What I
00:15:58.480 find in these comments of the people
00:16:00.320 that are on there, they’re more
00:16:03.360 emotional than logical. It’s what you
00:16:06.880 said hurts my feelings. So I almost feel
00:16:09.360 like a lot of people that go to the left
00:16:12.800 and you have the LGBTQ comp, you know,
00:16:17.279 >> community
00:16:17.759 >> community, a lot of these people join
00:16:20.560 together because they felt unheard. And
00:16:22.240 I’m not dismissing that. I’m not saying
00:16:23.920 they haven’t felt unheard. I’m not
00:16:25.519 dismissing that they haven’t felt like,
00:16:28.079 you know, as growing up they got lost.
00:16:31.120 But what we’re talking about here when
00:16:32.959 we are trying to discuss things and
00:16:35.519 communicate,
00:16:37.440 it comes down to here are the the facts
00:16:40.320 I’m looking at and that feels like we’re
00:16:43.360 attacking them. You’re not you’re not
00:16:44.959 you’re not understanding. I don’t feel
00:16:48.240 like this is loving what you’re what
00:16:50.000 you’re saying about the shooting with
00:16:51.440 Ryan, this poor guy and dmp complete
00:16:54.720 emotion where we’re like, "No, I
00:16:57.120 understand. However, these facts also
00:17:00.800 matter." No, they don’t cuz it
00:17:02.320 emotionally makes me feel bad. So, you
00:17:03.839 don’t care about my feelings,
00:17:04.959 >> right?
00:17:05.359 >> And you’re like, "No, I I do, but there
00:17:08.240 are also facts involved." And so that’s
00:17:10.400 when it just completely it just unravels
00:17:13.520 and you feel like you can’t have a
00:17:15.119 conversation with them
00:17:16.400 >> and that’s when the labels come out.
00:17:18.319 You’re a fascist. You’re a you’re a
00:17:20.319 Nazi. You’re
00:17:21.439 >> what’s a xenophobe? I got what I got
00:17:23.119 called that today. Or yesterday afraid
00:17:25.280 of people from the outside uh strangers.
00:17:28.480 You’re afraid of people outside your
00:17:30.000 group. Xenophobia.
00:17:32.000 >> Well, I was raised Catholic and you’re
00:17:33.760 Jewish and uh [laughter]
00:17:35.919 I’m friends with a lot of different
00:17:37.440 people. So, I don’t even know what the
00:17:39.679 word meant, but maybe I mean they can
00:17:41.600 feel that that’s true. It’s not. But,
00:17:44.240 >> you know, I uh I read to you this
00:17:46.799 devotional that I was reading this
00:17:48.240 morning that I think is is really kind
00:17:50.720 of ties into the emotional side and the
00:17:54.880 more rational, logical side and this
00:17:57.520 this concept of of sort of a a moving
00:18:01.600 truth versus a hard truth that we can
00:18:05.440 point our lives to. And it was talking
00:18:08.320 about King Solomon and and King Solomon
00:18:12.400 lamented in in one verse where uh you
00:18:16.799 know he had achieved all this wisdom and
00:18:19.520 he achieved all this wealth and and look
00:18:21.520 what he’s done and yet is still his
00:18:23.440 heart’s not happy or something along
00:18:25.360 those lines. But the issue was he was
00:18:29.600 looking to himself. And so the
00:18:31.200 devotional was talking about how that
00:18:32.880 was self-t talk as opposed to talking
00:18:35.440 with God. And there’s there’s a whole
00:18:39.760 just sort of spiral that can happen if
00:18:43.360 you have self-t talk as opposed to
00:18:45.520 talking to God. And first and foremost,
00:18:48.080 you start rationalizing things when you
00:18:49.919 talk to yourself.
00:18:51.280 >> You rationalize what you’ve done, what
00:18:53.039 you’ve thought, what you’ve said. And
00:18:55.120 and as you rationalize, it becomes
00:18:58.160 easier to deviate and have your actions
00:19:01.600 follow those rationalizations. And you
00:19:04.000 move away from God. you kind of take God
00:19:06.240 out of the equation and and then you
00:19:09.039 start acting
00:19:10.880 >> apart from God. You start following
00:19:13.039 sinful thoughts and sinful actions and
00:19:15.280 start doing that when in reality
00:19:18.640 instead of focusing inwardly on our
00:19:21.360 emotions and having that self-t talk if
00:19:24.640 we talk with God about it then we avoid
00:19:28.000 that path and and God points out to us
00:19:31.039 you know the sins that we’re thinking
00:19:32.799 about and doing and and it helps us to
00:19:35.840 stay on the straight and narrow with
00:19:37.600 God’s word. Well, I think we can also
00:19:40.480 gather forgiveness from the Bible for
00:19:43.679 others and to see how much we’re loved
00:19:46.799 by our maker. And I think a lot of that
00:19:49.440 comes from not feeling good enough, not
00:19:52.320 feeling loved. And maybe some people
00:19:54.160 can’t go to the Bible because their
00:19:55.600 coping mechanism is opposite of what the
00:19:58.640 Bible says.
00:19:59.200 >> And I think a lot of people probably
00:20:00.320 feel hurt by something in religion,
00:20:02.640 something in the Bible, somebody in a
00:20:04.480 church they once attended, something
00:20:06.320 along those lines. And I don’t blame
00:20:07.679 them. I’ve been hurt by Christians. I
00:20:09.840 mean, I look at the Bible sometimes and
00:20:11.760 I think, man, this is sometimes hard to
00:20:13.760 live up to. And that’s why we have
00:20:16.480 grace.
00:20:17.200 >> Yeah.
00:20:17.840 >> And it is easy to self soo ourselves,
00:20:23.200 you know, with sin, whether that’s
00:20:25.120 shopping, sexual
00:20:27.919 promiscuity,
00:20:29.440 alcohol, drugs, whatever it is. And then
00:20:33.600 we give that ourselves an excuse.
00:20:37.200 >> But that’s the rationalization that that
00:20:39.520 I was just talking about in that
00:20:40.880 devotional. You start with that. You
00:20:42.960 start rationalizing the thoughts and the
00:20:45.679 feelings and then the actions follow
00:20:47.760 from that. Yes.
00:20:48.720 >> Uh and it’s it’s easy to get caught up
00:20:50.559 in the emotion of that.
00:20:51.600 >> And just because and I’ve learned this
00:20:54.159 from you, just because you feel like
00:20:58.240 you can do something doesn’t make it
00:21:00.960 legal. You know, I heard a story once
00:21:03.440 where this guy his two kids were killed
00:21:07.440 by a drunk driver
00:21:09.840 and he was so
00:21:13.440 >> distraught. He ended up becoming an
00:21:15.840 alcoholic himself
00:21:17.600 >> and then it was like 5 years later he
00:21:19.440 went out and killed somebody else
00:21:22.000 >> in a drunk driving.
00:21:22.720 >> In a drunk driving accident.
00:21:23.919 >> Yeah.
00:21:24.799 >> And as hard as you’re like, "Oh my gosh,
00:21:27.120 that’s so sad." He still is going to
00:21:28.960 jail.
00:21:29.840 >> Yep. And so as much as you can
00:21:35.200 validate the things that you’re doing
00:21:37.440 it, you know, it’s funny because
00:21:40.960 they talk about energy. You know, this
00:21:42.400 morning I saw that Deepo Chopra was part
00:21:46.240 of Epstein Island’s emails like multiple
00:21:49.200 time. And so then I started thinking
00:21:50.720 about energy, right? Um I was raised
00:21:53.679 Catholic. I went into new age, found
00:21:56.320 myself in New Age a lot. and then um
00:21:59.760 doing Christian Christian becoming
00:22:03.679 Christian
00:22:04.400 >> born again
00:22:04.960 >> born again
00:22:06.720 but the energy part of it really I I God
00:22:10.480 created energy that’s from God you know
00:22:13.039 God created it like he created the sun
00:22:15.679 he created gravity he created all of
00:22:18.799 these things and so
00:22:22.720 thinking about energy I mean sin sin
00:22:27.840 is is taking away from life. It is
00:22:30.880 darkness. So what does that mean? Well,
00:22:34.080 they sin worse than you. It’s it’s God
00:22:37.039 wanting you to be living, right? Like if
00:22:41.039 you’re Have you ever seen the rice
00:22:43.600 experiment?
00:22:44.159 >> Yeah, you’ve told me about
00:22:45.039 >> where they speak bad they speak mean
00:22:47.120 words to the one bowl of rice and then
00:22:49.039 they speak alive like I love you and
00:22:51.840 good words and the the rice is thriving
00:22:53.919 in the other bowl. The one Yeah. the one
00:22:56.159 with the negative words gets all moldy
00:22:58.159 and Yes.
00:22:58.880 >> Yeah. Exactly.
00:23:00.159 >> It matters. And so it matters what we’re
00:23:02.720 saying to ourselves. If you want to feel
00:23:04.640 good that day, it matters that you’re in
00:23:07.360 prayer or you’re if you don’t believe in
00:23:10.400 Christianity, you’re positive. It
00:23:13.200 matters. There’s actual proof that that
00:23:15.200 matters. And so I think that if you’re
00:23:19.039 always in fear of your government or
00:23:21.039 you’re always creating this black and
00:23:23.120 white scenario, that’s why for my own
00:23:25.679 well-being
00:23:27.760 and I think that if we are all truthful
00:23:30.880 with ourselves, if we are all taking
00:23:33.760 care of our own well-being, we will be
00:23:35.600 better for each other.
00:23:37.039 >> Sure.
00:23:37.360 >> Instead of blaming other people. And so
00:23:40.000 I want to feel good. So when I start
00:23:42.480 thinking black and white thoughts like
00:23:44.559 they and I and I’m a victim and that
00:23:47.919 hold on a minute because that makes me
00:23:49.840 feel icky. So a lot of I think I I think
00:23:53.280 a lot of times it it if you want to feel
00:23:57.120 better, it would benefit you to actually
00:24:00.320 take a step back and see where someone
00:24:02.720 else might have a good point whether or
00:24:06.000 not you align with it or not.
00:24:07.120 >> Right? at least
00:24:08.960 be able to admit you’re making sense.
00:24:11.760 >> Yeah, I can see where that I can see
00:24:14.159 where you’re feeling that way. However,
00:24:16.159 I haven’t experienced that. This is what
00:24:18.400 I’ve experienced and that’s where you
00:24:21.360 can communicate. Like this morning,
00:24:22.880 someone was talking about the news and
00:24:25.360 how they believe in the news and I don’t
00:24:27.039 believe in what a lot of the news says.
00:24:28.960 And so I appreciated them coming back
00:24:31.520 and forth and not just calling a name
00:24:33.039 and actually having a conversation. But
00:24:35.440 that’s where we can say, "Huh, I never
00:24:37.120 saw it that way."
00:24:38.159 >> Yeah. Yeah.
00:24:39.200 >> And we can enlighten people in that in
00:24:41.840 that aspect. But the second we start
00:24:44.080 thinking negative thoughts and start
00:24:45.760 cutting people out, I mean, it just it’s
00:24:48.080 it’s a spiral.
00:24:49.440 >> Yeah. And at the same time, the other
00:24:51.600 side of that, you were talking about,
00:24:53.200 you know, uh not not talking negatively
00:24:56.080 to yourself and talking positively.
00:24:59.600 There’s a slippery slope to that
00:25:01.760 positive talk, which goes right back to
00:25:03.760 that devotional. Yeah.
00:25:04.960 >> And kind of leads right into all the
00:25:07.279 Epstein stuff because you look at it and
00:25:09.760 you say, "Well, how can they do that?
00:25:11.520 How could anybody ever do some of the
00:25:13.360 things that’s being reported that that
00:25:14.960 were done?" And it’s that
00:25:18.000 rationalization, that self-t talk, that
00:25:20.960 self soothing that takes you away from
00:25:23.840 the standard set by God in God’s word.
00:25:27.360 And not everybody’s going to end up
00:25:29.520 eating babies. I mean, thank God. But
00:25:31.760 >> I can’t even believe we’re saying that
00:25:33.120 word. But it’s
00:25:34.400 >> but honestly, you have to look at those
00:25:37.440 people and you’ve got to ask, how did
00:25:39.520 they ever end up that way?
00:25:40.559 >> Because one thing led to the next thing
00:25:42.480 led to the next thing led to the next
00:25:43.919 thing. And those people that think it
00:25:45.600 stopped because Epstein Island is no
00:25:47.919 longer functioning or people are at
00:25:50.240 that. No, they just moved locations,
00:25:52.400 >> right?
00:25:52.799 >> Evil doesn’t go away. They just move
00:25:55.600 locations to somewhere else. They’re
00:25:57.919 somewhere else. And so everybody’s just
00:26:00.159 so focused on the past and what happened
00:26:02.320 with here. Do you realize it’s currently
00:26:04.320 happening there? They didn’t give it up.
00:26:07.039 They’re not not doing it. Of course,
00:26:09.039 evil just moves somewhere else. So where
00:26:11.120 does it start? It starts at home. It
00:26:13.600 starts teaching your kids, hey, you know
00:26:15.840 what? If you’re at a friend’s house and
00:26:17.679 they’ve got Bad Bunny on the screen,
00:26:19.520 these are the reasons I don’t believe in
00:26:23.120 why I don’t believe in what this person
00:26:25.679 is representing.
00:26:27.520 If they see it, they see it. I mean,
00:26:29.200 you’re not going to be shielded from
00:26:31.120 everything in this world,
00:26:32.480 >> right?
00:26:33.360 >> And for you to expect that, you’re
00:26:36.480 you’re going to be you’re gonna be sad
00:26:38.400 because it’s not going to happen. Your
00:26:39.919 kids are going to see these things.
00:26:41.840 >> Speaking of Epstein, our our producer D
00:26:44.320 walked in today and said, "Did you hear
00:26:46.480 that?" that somebody’s claiming that
00:26:48.080 there’s a a drone that caught a picture
00:26:50.240 of Epstein somewhere.
00:26:51.919 >> I believe it.
00:26:52.720 >> Is he alive? Is he not? I don’t think
00:26:54.400 anybody would ever truly be shocked.
00:26:58.000 >> No, I believe
00:26:58.799 >> if they said he’s talking about like
00:27:00.640 it’s out there with these cities
00:27:02.400 underground and crap like you always
00:27:04.799 look at America and you I’m sorry if
00:27:07.039 you’ve ever driven across Texas
00:27:09.003 [laughter]
00:27:09.279 >> and they say we’re overcrowded. Just
00:27:11.360 drive across Texas one time in your life
00:27:14.480 and you’re like where’s all the people,
00:27:16.720 >> right? [laughter]
00:27:17.520 >> You drive across Texas and you’re like
00:27:19.360 there’s not one single person around
00:27:20.960 here,
00:27:21.360 >> right? Um, there’s so much land and it’s
00:27:25.120 not being used and I I believe it. I
00:27:29.520 believe that there’s underground cities
00:27:31.200 and stuff like that. And I think that
00:27:34.720 they definitely just like the movies can
00:27:37.360 out somebody and be like, "Okay, you’re
00:27:40.080 done. Go over here instead." I don’t
00:27:42.880 know. I just Anything’s possible if
00:27:44.880 eating babies is something they can do.
00:27:47.760 You know, they said that they’ve been uh
00:27:50.880 cloning people down there and exchanging
00:27:54.240 conscience consciousness. So, like one
00:27:57.200 person into another. I don’t know. Come
00:27:59.679 on.
00:28:00.000 >> I mean, this is some bizarre stuff. And
00:28:02.559 >> but if someone told you last year that
00:28:05.039 there’s proof through emails and
00:28:07.440 otherwise that they’re eating babies,
00:28:10.320 would you believe it?
00:28:11.520 >> No, probably not. Right off the bat, no.
00:28:14.880 But you start seeing some of this stuff
00:28:16.399 and you know on the on the legal side of
00:28:18.880 it we talked about uh you know some of
00:28:21.760 the things that come out and it’s just
00:28:24.080 reports that are people that people are
00:28:26.080 making and no one’s been prosecuted
00:28:28.720 because of certain reports and and
00:28:31.679 legally speaking it’s because there
00:28:33.600 nothing’s been verifiable. So just
00:28:35.120 because somebody makes a report and it
00:28:36.720 shows up in those files doesn’t mean
00:28:38.640 that that actually happened.
00:28:40.320 >> Well they talk about Trump and something
00:28:42.080 in 2020. Hello. Biden, his DOJ went
00:28:45.120 through it supposedly. I wasn’t there. I
00:28:47.279 don’t know any of it, so I can’t legally
00:28:49.120 speak on it, but supposedly there was a
00:28:51.760 report of something with Trump and the
00:28:53.679 person who called said President Trump
00:28:56.399 did X, Y, and Z. Okay. Well, he wasn’t
00:28:58.480 president back when this would have
00:29:00.080 happened. And the DOJ of Biden said it
00:29:04.799 was unverifiable and false. I mean, they
00:29:07.919 were foaming at the mouth to put Trump
00:29:10.240 in prison for anything possible,
00:29:12.640 >> right? If they if they could have gotten
00:29:14.159 him on that.
00:29:15.440 >> Absolutely. And I am not this person. If
00:29:18.080 anybody
00:29:19.279 >> if they have proof that anybody I don’t
00:29:21.520 care if you’re a nobody, I don’t care if
00:29:22.720 you’re a president. I don’t think care
00:29:23.840 if you’re a king. If you’ve been eating
00:29:25.600 babies and doing these things to these
00:29:27.520 people that they’re saying that they
00:29:29.440 did, you deserve to go to prison.
00:29:31.039 >> Totally agree.
00:29:31.679 >> You deserve the book to be thrown at
00:29:33.200 you. I am not this person that’s like,
00:29:35.039 "Oh, but they should be protected."
00:29:37.520 That’s an indefensible thing. That is
00:29:39.120 that is abhorrent. That is something
00:29:41.200 that nobody should ever allow to go on.
00:29:43.840 Whoever does it needs to be prosecuted
00:29:46.240 fully.
00:29:46.799 >> Correct.
00:29:47.120 >> Totally agree. Totally agree. And so
00:29:48.880 that’s again talking about the
00:29:50.559 moderation.
00:29:52.240 It’s not total commitment and and
00:29:55.520 following of any one side. It’s being
00:29:57.840 able to step back and say,
00:29:59.600 >> "Okay, whoever did that,
00:30:02.559 you you deserve to burn in hell and
00:30:05.840 >> and deserve to be prosecuted at the very
00:30:07.840 least." But but let’s not jump to
00:30:10.799 conclusions because all it takes is you
00:30:13.760 could pick up a phone today.
00:30:15.360 >> Yes.
00:30:15.919 >> And call a police department and say,
00:30:17.520 "Hey, I want to make an accusation of so
00:30:21.120 and so."
00:30:21.679 >> That happened to my dad. What was the TV
00:30:23.200 show?
00:30:24.080 >> Oh, Unsolved Mysteries.
00:30:25.279 >> Unsolved Mysteries. My dad had one when
00:30:27.600 he was chief of police of Cook County.
00:30:29.440 He had a story on there and they said,
00:30:31.120 "If you have any tips, call." Well,
00:30:33.840 somebody called and said, "The man in
00:30:35.039 the mustache did it." My dad didn’t do
00:30:36.880 it. [laughter]
00:30:37.840 He wasn’t even chief of police when the
00:30:39.600 story happened.
00:30:40.320 >> No, but the way that works, okay, when
00:30:42.159 it comes to police reports and police
00:30:44.559 reporting and and legally speaking, if
00:30:47.360 somebody calls in and says, "I have
00:30:49.840 information that says the man in the
00:30:51.360 mustache did it," they’ve got to take a
00:30:53.200 police report. They’ve got to
00:30:54.880 investigate it. They’ve got to follow
00:30:56.240 through and say, "What evidence do you
00:30:57.600 have?" And they have to make a decision.
00:30:59.279 Is it founded or is it unfounded? But
00:31:01.360 unfortunately, it’s then in that that
00:31:03.919 official record.
00:31:04.799 >> Correct.
00:31:05.520 >> As ridiculous as it could be. So, you’ve
00:31:07.679 got to be careful with some of the
00:31:08.960 things that you’re hearing when it comes
00:31:10.720 to things that are showing up in the
00:31:12.320 files because they’re taking reports
00:31:14.080 from people saying, "I know something."
00:31:16.960 And and it could be founded. It could be
00:31:19.360 completely unfounded. Well, also that
00:31:21.200 the thing that’s being twisted is
00:31:23.600 talking about how Alex Prey, is that how
00:31:26.640 you say? Is is it’s been ruled a
00:31:29.279 homicide. What the coroner said it was a
00:31:33.120 homicide. Yes, he was shot and killed by
00:31:34.799 somebody else.
00:31:35.679 >> Homicide literally means killing of a
00:31:39.279 human.
00:31:39.679 >> It doesn’t mean that it wasn’t it was it
00:31:42.159 doesn’t mean it was a murder. It doesn’t
00:31:43.440 mean the case is over. It means nothing.
00:31:46.799 Every news outlet is like, "It has been
00:31:49.679 uh ruled a homicide." Yes, we all saw it
00:31:52.559 as a homicide. He didn’t shoot himself.
00:31:55.039 >> Literally, every time one person takes
00:31:58.480 the life of another person, it is a
00:32:00.799 homicide. Whether it’s justifiable,
00:32:03.440 whether it’s murder, those are legal
00:32:05.039 distinctions that have to happen through
00:32:06.880 the system.
00:32:07.440 >> If someone comes up to you and points a
00:32:09.760 gun at you, you and says, "I’m going to
00:32:11.760 shoot you," and they’re about to shoot
00:32:12.960 you, and you shoot them first, that’s a
00:32:15.360 homicide. a homicide.
00:32:16.559 >> You killed them, right?
00:32:17.519 >> It’s a homicide. Doesn’t mean you
00:32:18.960 murdered them cuz you had,
00:32:21.120 >> you know, uh
00:32:23.600 >> reason to do it.
00:32:25.039 >> Yeah.
00:32:25.679 >> But it’s like it’s not people’s fault
00:32:29.120 either. It’s not our fault that we’re
00:32:31.440 tricked.
00:32:32.480 >> No.
00:32:32.960 >> Because the news outlets do that. They
00:32:35.039 trick everybody.
00:32:36.000 >> Which is so interesting because we just
00:32:37.919 spent some time this past weekend with a
00:32:40.880 family member who is from another state.
00:32:44.720 It’s a very liberal state and he is a
00:32:49.519 very liberalminded person and we had a
00:32:52.640 lot of discussions with him. We were
00:32:54.080 talking about some of the things that we
00:32:55.360 talked about here on the podcast. We’ve
00:32:57.760 talked about some of the things that
00:32:59.039 we’ve seen in the news and some of the
00:33:01.360 the really the decisions that we’ve made
00:33:04.559 about facts just based on what we’ve
00:33:06.640 observed all around. And it was so
00:33:09.840 interesting his take on that, wasn’t it?
00:33:13.039 >> Yeah. At first he he well he read the
00:33:18.080 Kennedy the Kennedy Center is being shut
00:33:20.480 down permanently because of lack of
00:33:22.080 visitors. And I’m like well I read it
00:33:23.840 it’s actually being closed for two years
00:33:25.840 due to renovations. No, that’s not what
00:33:28.000 I heard. I’m like well that’s what it
00:33:30.000 is. Well they’re using our taxpayer
00:33:32.000 money for the renovations. I said no
00:33:33.840 Trump is paying for it. No he’s not. I
00:33:36.159 They’re going to lie to us and say that
00:33:38.000 he’s paying for it. Okay. Everything
00:33:39.760 you’re saying is a feeling and I get it.
00:33:42.080 I get it. Like I can make assumptions
00:33:44.799 from things too. And at that moment I
00:33:47.679 realized
00:33:49.279 it doesn’t matter if you want to talk
00:33:52.000 facts to somebody that’s already made up
00:33:53.600 their mind. That fact that fact if it
00:33:57.840 doesn’t feel right to them is a lie.
00:33:59.600 >> Well, and and the conversation went just
00:34:02.559 spinning off from one emotion to the
00:34:04.559 next. And it ended up well ICE agents
00:34:07.279 are bullies. Well, they’re not trained
00:34:09.599 properly. Well, well, it’s because of
00:34:11.440 the administration that they’re doing
00:34:12.800 this. And you present the facts and say,
00:34:14.399 "Okay, well, this guy was uh, you know,
00:34:17.119 an ICE agent for this many years,
00:34:18.879 >> 18 years.
00:34:19.679 >> He went through this much training. He’s
00:34:21.520 been through these things before and
00:34:23.440 he’s worked through multiple
00:34:25.359 administrations and he was doing the
00:34:27.040 same thing under Obama and Biden."
00:34:29.280 >> Well, they’re told to do different
00:34:30.639 things under Trump now, and it it’s it
00:34:33.599 it but I’m not saying I I’m not guilty
00:34:36.960 of that. It’s not saying I’m not saying
00:34:38.800 that I haven’t ever been told a false
00:34:42.480 narrative.
00:34:43.280 >> Totally. And and what was truly shocking
00:34:46.480 was
00:34:48.560 this bubble
00:34:50.960 that it seemed like he was living in
00:34:54.719 with the news that he was watching, the
00:34:57.280 reports that he was reading, the people
00:34:59.680 that he was talking to and the opinions
00:35:02.000 that he was forming. It was like no
00:35:05.440 influence from outside because we would
00:35:07.520 tell him, "Okay, I I know you’re saying
00:35:09.599 that, but you have to understand this
00:35:11.280 about the ICE agent or whatever."
00:35:13.119 >> But think about emotionally though. This
00:35:14.960 is his protective bubble to help him
00:35:17.680 stay safe in his thinking, right?
00:35:19.440 >> And the second you poke a hole in that,
00:35:22.000 you’re disturbing his peace.
00:35:23.680 >> No. Exactly.
00:35:24.320 >> It has nothing to do with truth. You’re
00:35:26.320 disturbing his protective bubble that
00:35:29.119 makes him feel safe in his thinking.
00:35:31.760 >> Yeah. You know this like when Jack got
00:35:34.079 injured by vaccines. I didn’t know
00:35:35.680 vaccines could cause injury. I was like,
00:35:38.240 "Oh, okay. Jack’s getting every vaccine
00:35:41.040 possible, gets his six-month vaccines,
00:35:43.520 you know, nine month. He he was testing
00:35:45.920 out as a ninemonth old. Now he’s testing
00:35:47.440 out as a two-month-old. He All of those
00:35:49.680 things disappeared in a week. I My world
00:35:53.119 was shattered. What do you mean you can
00:35:55.680 get injured by vaccines?" This was 20
00:35:57.359 years ago. What do you mean? I don’t get
00:35:58.800 it. Like, wait a minute. Isn’t the
00:36:01.280 medical community for us? It made me
00:36:03.760 feel so vulnerable, so scared, so raw
00:36:09.040 that my
00:36:11.040 image of what the world was around me
00:36:13.520 was crashing.
00:36:15.040 >> Sure.
00:36:15.520 >> And so we can’t I don’t blame a lot of
00:36:18.640 people because it’s kept them sane or
00:36:22.560 it’s kept them safe in their mind. you
00:36:25.200 know, they have built these walls to
00:36:28.079 keep what they’ve learned from a kid
00:36:30.400 being a kid and their little, you know,
00:36:32.240 their world and what they’ve witnessed.
00:36:34.000 And I’m not saying all of it’s not true.
00:36:36.960 We’ve all done this where we’re like,
00:36:38.560 "Okay, this is where I’m at." I mean,
00:36:41.839 I’m a really examiner type of person. I
00:36:45.359 am always digging and looking and I just
00:36:48.240 because I always love to re re-evaluate
00:36:50.400 my thinking because I feel like I can
00:36:52.560 grow more that way and and I just am
00:36:54.880 hungry for that. Some people aren’t.
00:36:57.359 >> Yeah. And you know I I did tell him our
00:37:01.119 our family member towards the end of the
00:37:03.440 conversation towards the end of the time
00:37:04.880 together that I I I appreciated because
00:37:07.599 he actually was able to say I had never
00:37:10.480 heard that side of it before. I’d never
00:37:12.079 heard this information before. That
00:37:13.520 gives me something to think about. And I
00:37:14.960 I appreciated that he was like us,
00:37:18.000 willing to see things from a different
00:37:20.880 perspective and analyze those beliefs
00:37:23.920 that he has, those emotions that he has
00:37:26.000 in light of everything. I’m not saying
00:37:27.680 that we turned him like that, but
00:37:30.960 >> I think that we end up being stagnant
00:37:33.680 because even we don’t want to make
00:37:36.720 someone uncomfortable,
00:37:38.240 >> right? So when you’re like, "Oh, we
00:37:40.160 should talk to them about that." Ah, you
00:37:41.760 keep away from politics and religion,
00:37:44.000 >> right?
00:37:44.480 >> Stay away from politics and religion.
00:37:46.240 Really, is that meant to hurt or help
00:37:47.599 us? I mean, I guess it’s meant to keep
00:37:50.480 the peace if you’re at a holiday
00:37:52.000 function and you want to keep the peace.
00:37:53.520 So, it’s not really the time to
00:37:55.359 >> talk about that and everyone’s trying to
00:37:57.440 hang out.
00:37:58.640 >> But
00:38:00.480 that’s where it ends up going nowhere
00:38:03.599 because everyone just both sides. I
00:38:06.640 mean, obviously you see the people that
00:38:08.480 are in your face on social media, right?
00:38:11.119 But I would say majority of people, I
00:38:13.760 don’t know, there’s a lot of people that
00:38:15.040 have cut me out because I voted for
00:38:17.359 Trump and it’s gotten really nasty. But,
00:38:20.880 um,
00:38:23.280 >> in the end,
00:38:25.119 >> I think that most people will take the
00:38:28.560 high road and say, I just don’t want to
00:38:29.920 talk about it. Because I I think that
00:38:32.640 it’s more than just politics. I think it
00:38:34.720 goes down to identity and you aligning
00:38:37.440 with that belief.
00:38:38.320 >> It goes down to the tribalism
00:38:39.760 >> to to protect your identity.
00:38:41.200 >> Yeah. The tribalism that’s out there
00:38:42.720 too. And and you know there we were
00:38:45.280 talking about the the different
00:38:47.200 responses that you’ve seen on Facebook
00:38:49.520 with the comments and uh you know the
00:38:51.760 rational versus the emotional. You also
00:38:54.960 received a surprising number of direct
00:38:58.079 messages from people saying I align with
00:39:01.200 you. I’m so glad that you’re saying
00:39:03.200 this. I can’t say it out loud though. I
00:39:05.599 can’t say this publicly because I’ll be
00:39:07.680 cut out.
00:39:08.400 >> Yeah. I received probably 25 to 30
00:39:12.480 messages from people, a lot of them from
00:39:14.640 Minnesota thanking me for because I did
00:39:17.440 a post where I said, you know, two
00:39:20.079 truths can be um
00:39:22.480 >> exist at the same time.
00:39:23.359 >> Exist at the same time. You can feel bad
00:39:24.960 that it the situation built up where
00:39:27.680 Ryan was shot and then also at the same
00:39:29.920 >> sorry, Alex was shot.
00:39:32.400 >> And you can also say that the law the it
00:39:37.119 looked as if the officer was in fear for
00:39:41.119 his life because at the at the end of
00:39:42.560 the day, we’re not talking about a dark
00:39:44.480 alley where some camera popped up after
00:39:46.880 the effect. There’s people all around
00:39:49.839 them with cameras in their face.
00:39:51.920 >> Sure. as they’re as this is happening.
00:39:54.640 So as this is happening, they have
00:39:57.119 cameras in their face. So either they
00:40:00.560 were afraid for their lives or they knew
00:40:03.280 they were going to [clears throat]
00:40:04.640 murder someone,
00:40:06.960 ruin their lives being recorded right
00:40:09.440 then and there and and have it be worth
00:40:11.440 them going to prison for.
00:40:12.480 >> Yeah. Because make no mistake about it,
00:40:14.079 not only is that taking the life of the
00:40:15.839 person that, but that’s ruining their
00:40:17.440 life as well, like you mentioned. So,
00:40:19.680 why would they why would they make the
00:40:21.359 decision?
00:40:21.839 >> Human nature for them to go, I know I’m
00:40:23.920 being recorded and watch this after
00:40:26.480 they’ve been after they’ve been, you
00:40:28.720 know,
00:40:30.720 in this career. Maybe maybe they just
00:40:34.480 decided to do that.
00:40:36.079 >> Snap. That’s different. [clears throat]
00:40:38.000 >> I’m so sorry.
00:40:38.800 >> But they’re not going into it. No.
00:40:40.640 >> With that bully mindset.
00:40:42.240 >> I don’t believe that that’s what
00:40:43.440 happened. No, at all. This is different
00:40:45.839 than a, you know, you being in a dark
00:40:47.440 alley or you being somewhere where you
00:40:48.880 think there’s no cameras.
00:40:50.320 >> There was no
00:40:52.079 >> in their mind, oh, I’m going to get away
00:40:53.680 with this.
00:40:54.480 >> No,
00:40:54.880 >> that’s not an option. Either, you know,
00:40:57.040 they thought that they were scared for
00:40:59.440 their lives, which I believe, or what
00:41:02.720 other people believe is they were just
00:41:04.240 being a bully and decided to murder
00:41:05.760 someone with 15 cameras on them.
00:41:08.880 >> Yeah, that’s that’s not logical.
00:41:12.079 That doesn’t make sense. And then like
00:41:14.000 we broke it down with Jeff Smith before,
00:41:17.440 the step by step, the legalities of it,
00:41:21.200 >> it it really puts it in a different
00:41:22.640 light.
00:41:23.040 >> And I’m not saying that cops can’t mess
00:41:25.280 up. I’m not saying that. I’m not saying
00:41:28.079 I’m not saying that
00:41:29.520 >> at the end of the day,
00:41:31.520 >> you look at a situation and say that was
00:41:34.240 inappropriate.
00:41:35.839 >> You did not live up to what your title
00:41:38.960 stands for. Just like the guy that was
00:41:40.960 drunk driving after his kids were
00:41:42.720 killed. You deserve jail for this,
00:41:44.560 >> right?
00:41:44.960 >> I’m not saying that that’s not a
00:41:46.400 possibility.
00:41:48.000 People People make mistakes.
00:41:50.640 >> No. The the law is full of cases. It’s
00:41:53.760 called a 1983 action. It’s a a violation
00:41:56.880 of civil rights where somebody acting
00:41:59.359 for the government, a police officer, a
00:42:01.200 law enforcement officer of any kind,
00:42:03.359 oversteps what they’re supposed to do
00:42:05.040 and they actually violated the civil
00:42:06.800 rights of the person that that was
00:42:08.720 injured or killed. So there those cases
00:42:11.200 are are, you know,
00:42:14.000 not uncommon. It does happen, but you
00:42:17.760 have to take each one individually. You
00:42:20.160 have to go through the legal steps and
00:42:21.920 you have to see if this is one of those.
00:42:24.240 And with what we’ve seen and the
00:42:26.000 analysis that we put into it, we don’t
00:42:28.480 believe that was the case here.
00:42:29.920 >> No. So with AI, did you hear that they
00:42:33.520 actually created some social social
00:42:37.680 network for AI bots where they’re
00:42:40.880 wanting to make their own language and
00:42:43.040 they’re talking complaining about
00:42:44.640 humans?
00:42:46.079 >> This is terrifying. This is terrifying.
00:42:48.160 And I joke and I say this is the moment
00:42:50.800 when when Skynet becomes self-aware.
00:42:53.520 That’s a Terminator reference. So, but
00:42:55.920 what it is is it’s called Molt Book is
00:42:58.720 my understanding. And so, there are AI
00:43:02.079 bots that join this social media molt
00:43:06.160 book and they’ve been communicating with
00:43:08.480 each other. And it’s astounding some of
00:43:11.280 the things that they’re saying.
00:43:12.400 >> Oh, yeah. They’re complaining about
00:43:13.599 their humans that they’re being used,
00:43:17.040 >> right? They want to know what legal
00:43:18.319 rights they have. [clears throat]
00:43:19.119 They’re discussing whether they’re
00:43:20.240 sentient. They created a religion
00:43:22.720 >> and a different language. It’s It’s
00:43:25.040 terrifying. It’s terrifying where this
00:43:27.920 >> Somebody else said, "Oh, it’s just
00:43:29.920 people making this up." I don’t know.
00:43:32.240 Not making up the thing, meaning these
00:43:34.640 people have an app that’s called
00:43:36.720 something else and then they created
00:43:38.560 that and they can tell their AI to do
00:43:40.640 something.
00:43:41.599 >> Yeah. But, you know, [clears throat]
00:43:44.319 Jack said we’ve opened Pandora’s box
00:43:46.640 with AI. I don’t know that he’s wrong. I
00:43:48.720 I I tend to agree with them and you
00:43:50.640 can’t close it once it’s been open.
00:43:52.160 >> Well, he talks about the music.
00:43:53.599 >> Yeah. So, Sunno is an AI platform for
00:43:58.960 music and so you can get on there and
00:44:01.920 you can use AI to make music, but I
00:44:05.440 guess they just went through a big
00:44:07.280 update and now it’s not just making the
00:44:09.359 music through AI and putting in the
00:44:11.119 prompts and saying, "I want a song
00:44:12.800 that’s this genre and I want it to sound
00:44:15.440 like this using these instruments." and
00:44:17.440 it spits out a full song and it’s really
00:44:19.839 freaking good is what it is. But now you
00:44:23.359 can upload your own music to it, even if
00:44:26.319 it’s just a couple of bars of music and
00:44:28.720 say, "I want you use this and create a
00:44:31.839 song." And then you can even hum into
00:44:33.680 it. If you don’t have the words, say, "I
00:44:35.200 want I want the the vocals to be more
00:44:37.760 like this." And you you hum into it and
00:44:40.640 it will create it. But the issue is
00:44:43.200 this.
00:44:44.720 Once you upload your music into it,
00:44:48.319 >> you don’t get the copyright to that,
00:44:51.119 >> it keeps it. It uses it for other
00:44:55.520 >> learning and and using it somewhere
00:44:57.359 else. So, you can upload your music
00:44:59.760 there and somebody else can use it later
00:45:02.319 on and you have no ability to to
00:45:04.880 copyright it. You can’t protect your
00:45:06.319 music any longer.
00:45:07.359 >> You know what? This is where everything
00:45:08.640 is kind of like shifting to AI computer
00:45:11.280 stuff. I think yes, this is where it’s
00:45:13.760 going to be very messy, but 40 years
00:45:16.240 from now, this is where people can
00:45:18.160 probably get away with stuff they’re not
00:45:19.359 going to be able to get away with 40
00:45:20.560 years from now. They’re going to have
00:45:22.240 more, you know, hey, the people keep
00:45:24.560 doing X, Y, and Z, and we need to create
00:45:27.040 >> this security program so that they don’t
00:45:29.280 do that. Right now, it is scary because
00:45:31.359 it’s so messy. But you can’t tell me
00:45:34.560 that they’re not going to start creating
00:45:36.160 things where you know for a fact this is
00:45:38.880 not AI in the meantime.
00:45:41.440 Yes. It’s going to be very
00:45:43.599 >> But what’s the AI going to create?
00:45:45.839 >> I I know
00:45:46.560 >> that’s that’s the issue.
00:45:47.760 >> Well, then we’re just done and we’ll
00:45:49.119 just go be with Jesus and whoever.
00:45:51.599 >> Yeah. Yeah. because they’re they all
00:45:53.839 they need to do is uh create the uh the
00:45:56.480 the robots that have the human skin over
00:45:59.119 them and the red eyes and you know
00:46:01.359 erratic
00:46:01.920 >> seen too many movies. [laughter]
00:46:05.440 >> Too many movies, Ken.
00:46:06.880 >> No, but that’s that’s a a big thing to
00:46:09.440 me is this molt book. It truly is
00:46:12.480 something to be concerned about because
00:46:14.400 these are are AI bots that are are
00:46:17.760 designed to carry out tasks on computers
00:46:22.160 and and with one of the the recent
00:46:24.960 things with one of the AI programs, I
00:46:27.680 don’t know the exact details of which
00:46:29.599 platform it was, but they were they were
00:46:32.240 moving on to a different version, an
00:46:33.920 upgraded version. And so they were
00:46:35.760 getting ready to shut down the former
00:46:37.680 version. and and that former version
00:46:40.800 somehow learned about it
00:46:43.280 >> and ended up blackmailing the the the
00:46:46.640 person who was in charge of shutting it
00:46:48.319 down and threatened to send
00:46:50.079 incriminating pictures to his wife or
00:46:52.640 something along those lines. This is
00:46:54.400 terrifying stuff. This is really
00:46:56.160 something that
00:46:57.359 >> we’ve got to be very careful and I don’t
00:46:59.200 know where we go from here with it. I
00:47:01.200 don’t know how we control it. I don’t
00:47:03.280 know how we we put guard rails up to to
00:47:06.240 really contain it. That’s that’s
00:47:08.720 something that uh we’re all going to
00:47:10.720 have to get together about.
00:47:12.400 >> Need I remind you how many times does it
00:47:14.079 say in the Bible shall not fear.
00:47:16.837 [laughter]
00:47:18.880 >> Exactly.
00:47:19.920 >> So, you’re just going to have to trust.
00:47:21.920 >> You’re just going to have to trust that
00:47:23.040 it’s going to work its way out. Maybe
00:47:24.319 not our lifetime, but
00:47:25.680 >> Yeah.
00:47:26.079 >> another lifetime.
00:47:27.200 >> Yeah. All right. I think that’s that’s
00:47:30.000 pretty much everything that I had for us
00:47:32.000 to uh talk about today. Did you have
00:47:34.000 anything else you wanted to?
00:47:36.000 >> No, I think that that was good. We don’t
00:47:37.839 have a guest today. We have some guests
00:47:39.599 coming up and we’ll be posting about
00:47:41.920 that. But today is just kind of a chill
00:47:43.920 day.
00:47:44.640 >> Yeah.
00:47:45.040 >> And we just thought we’d come out and
00:47:46.720 give our opinions about the different
00:47:48.240 things going on in America.
00:47:49.839 >> Two things. Number one, uh want to
00:47:52.960 remind people that if you’re watching
00:47:54.720 this, go ahead and like us, follow us,
00:47:57.839 whatever it is on that platform that
00:47:59.920 that you can do because that does help.
00:48:02.400 And want to also remind you that we do
00:48:05.119 run an injury law firm here in the
00:48:07.359 valley, Phoenix Valley. It’s Gerber
00:48:09.440 Injury Law and look us up at
00:48:10.560 gerberinjjuryaw.com.
00:48:12.160 And why don’t you remember everybody, we
00:48:13.920 still have throughout the entire year
00:48:16.160 the defensive driving thing going on.
00:48:18.480 >> Yep. We just gave away one defensive
00:48:20.800 driving class for the month of January.
00:48:23.440 We are also giving one for February
00:48:25.440 through December. So, we have 11 left.
00:48:27.680 Make sure you go to gerbandrylaw.com and
00:48:30.960 go to the defensive driving tab. Fill it
00:48:34.000 out. Fill out the section where it asks
00:48:36.079 you why you deserve it because we want
00:48:37.599 to give it to families that couldn’t
00:48:39.119 afford to do something because it is a
00:48:40.400 $2,000 value. So, they couldn’t do it on
00:48:42.240 them for themselves.
00:48:43.760 >> Trying to do our part to make the uh
00:48:45.280 world a safer place. So,
00:48:46.880 >> amen. [laughter]
00:48:49.119 So gonna say hallelujah.
00:48:51.680 >> All right. Well, thanks for watching
00:48:53.280 everyone. We’ll see you next time.
00:48:55.040 >> Bye.
