00:00:00.240 Welcome back, Megan. We were off last
00:00:02.240 week.
00:00:04.319 >> Oh, yes, we were, and I loved every
00:00:05.920 minute of it.
00:00:07.200 >> All right, we got a lot of good things
00:00:08.320 to talk about today. You want to run it
00:00:10.000 down?
00:00:10.719 >> Well, I want to talk about hypocrisy in
00:00:12.800 our country.
00:00:13.679 >> Yeah.
00:00:14.400 >> I want to talk about
00:00:17.760 >> I don’t remember.
00:00:18.320 >> Super Bowl halftime.
00:00:19.199 >> Oh, yeah. Super Bowl halftime with Bad
00:00:21.039 Bunny,
00:00:21.680 >> right? Trump is in Davos this week.
00:00:24.720 >> Uhhuh. Oh, I thought we weren’t talking
00:00:26.080 about that today.
00:00:26.800 >> Oh, maybe we will.
00:00:28.080 >> Maybe we won’t. Uh we saw some
00:00:30.720 interesting stuff about uh some of the
00:00:32.640 COVID studies.
00:00:33.760 >> Oh yes, that was very interesting.
00:00:35.680 >> Yeah, we talked about uh got some things
00:00:37.840 to talk about with the the protesters in
00:00:40.160 Minnesota and around the country. And uh
00:00:43.920 then we wanted to talk about the movie
00:00:45.840 we watched on the plane back and forth
00:00:49.280 vacation last week, Aladdin.
00:00:52.000 >> I noticed something very, very sneaky.
00:00:54.960 >> Yeah. Yeah. All right. Well, why don’t
00:00:56.640 you start us off? Let’s talk about your
00:00:58.320 hypocrisy thoughts.
00:01:00.640 >> I am so tired of the hypocrisy.
00:01:04.239 >> Let’s hear it.
00:01:05.199 >> Well, it’s like last week I see that,
00:01:08.320 you know, obviously Renee Good
00:01:09.920 unfortunately passed away during the
00:01:11.520 ISIS incident. However, I see all these
00:01:15.760 people raging mad that this is a life.
00:01:19.040 This is it doesn’t even if she did
00:01:20.799 something wrong, they shouldn’t have
00:01:22.159 killed her and it’s a life that should
00:01:23.920 be respected. But then the second they
00:01:26.240 post that the ICE agent has internal
00:01:29.759 bleeding.
00:01:31.920 Ah, it’s their it’s his period and oh
00:01:35.040 did he die yet? Like dude, I can’t take
00:01:37.759 you seriously when you’re talking like
00:01:40.880 let’s kumbaya and be nice to a human
00:01:44.400 being whether or not they did something
00:01:46.880 right or wrong. They’re a human being
00:01:48.799 that’s a mom. But yet at this at the
00:01:52.159 other side of your mouth, you’re saying,
00:01:53.840 "Oh, who gives a crap about this ice
00:01:56.000 agent? He has internal bleeding. Is he
00:01:58.000 dead yet?" Like, I can’t take you
00:01:59.759 seriously.
00:02:00.479 >> No. And it’s it’s frustrating because
00:02:03.040 you can’t have on the one hand people
00:02:06.320 saying that life is is more important
00:02:08.878 than anything else. And and then on the
00:02:12.080 other side saying at the same time, this
00:02:14.640 guy should die.
00:02:16.160 >> It’s you got to be consistent about it.
00:02:17.680 >> It’s absolutely crazy. And then you have
00:02:19.120 all these protesters in Minneapolis and
00:02:23.840 they’re literally sticking up for yes,
00:02:27.120 they believe only illegals that are the
00:02:29.599 5-year-old that the story is blowing up
00:02:32.239 like, you know, ICE used him as bait,
00:02:34.480 which I’m still trying to figure out
00:02:36.000 what happened in that situation. I feel
00:02:38.640 like I doubt that was the case. However,
00:02:41.680 I don’t have the full story on that and
00:02:43.440 I don’t like to speak on things that I
00:02:45.040 don’t know about fully. However,
00:02:48.400 um they want to protect people that came
00:02:51.360 across our border illegally. They’re
00:02:53.360 protecting
00:02:55.040 child predators. They’re check they’re
00:02:58.000 protecting criminals, but yet we have
00:03:00.000 veterans that are on the street with no
00:03:04.239 help whatsoever that are suicidal from
00:03:06.480 going on these in these wars, but yet
00:03:09.680 they’re going to protect criminals. It’s
00:03:12.560 like, do they even know what they’re
00:03:14.400 doing? And it and the hypocrisy is
00:03:16.480 crazy. Go and use your rights to
00:03:21.440 protest, but then poop on the same
00:03:24.800 rights and yell that you don’t like that
00:03:26.720 we have a what is it? A Hitler type
00:03:32.400 person that creates
00:03:33.920 >> Yeah, that that’s that’s something that
00:03:35.920 caught me that was really frustrating is
00:03:37.840 them saying our rights are being taken
00:03:39.519 away. all American citizens rights are
00:03:42.080 being stripped away. And they’re they’re
00:03:44.560 saying that with their protest signs as
00:03:47.519 they’re marching saying, "We don’t have
00:03:49.519 rights." And logically, when you think
00:03:52.400 about it, when you break it down, it’s
00:03:54.480 your rights that are letting you do
00:03:55.920 that, that are letting you say that.
00:03:57.599 >> Yes.
00:03:58.080 >> And those rights are not changing.
00:03:59.599 They’re not going away. Rights are not
00:04:01.680 going away. What ICE is doing is they’re
00:04:04.560 enforcing the law and they have warrants
00:04:06.480 for arrest. And if you don’t like that
00:04:08.720 law, yes, you can protest. Yes, you can
00:04:11.040 do things to change things. You know, I
00:04:13.040 was talking today, one of my posts is
00:04:15.120 about Bad Bunny, which I don’t even know
00:04:17.040 what Bad Bunny plays. Maybe I do. The
00:04:19.680 kids are always like, "Mom, you know
00:04:20.880 that song." But like, he’s going to be
00:04:23.280 talking about the LGBTQ community at the
00:04:26.000 Super Bowl. Okay, let him let him. This
00:04:30.960 is America. I mean, yes, there are
00:04:34.560 certain things that we don’t agree with
00:04:36.720 having a drag go into a grade school and
00:04:40.880 talk about being in drag and promoting
00:04:43.360 all that or but if it’s allowed, then
00:04:46.639 you go to your school and say, you know,
00:04:48.560 let’s change the rules. But I’m sick of
00:04:51.840 the hypocrisy and one side or the other
00:04:54.400 side saying this shouldn’t be allowed.
00:04:56.400 If you’re in America and you want it to
00:04:59.520 be free like we talk about,
00:05:02.479 we should say, "Thank God he can talk
00:05:04.320 about the LGBTQ community."
00:05:06.160 >> See, but that’s hard. That’s hard for
00:05:08.320 people, particularly
00:05:10.960 Christian conservatives, people who
00:05:13.120 >> which I am.
00:05:14.160 >> Yeah. But people who do not agree with
00:05:18.000 the the gay and lesbian and the other
00:05:21.039 litany of of letters that that are
00:05:23.199 attached to that
00:05:24.400 >> with that lifestyle and with promoting
00:05:26.479 that lifestyle and and having that in
00:05:29.280 our face and and really presenting that
00:05:32.080 as
00:05:34.000 more than the minority that it is.
00:05:36.479 >> Okay. Do don’t those same people, the
00:05:38.960 LGBTQ or gay people feel offended that
00:05:41.840 we call what they do a sin?
00:05:44.479 >> Yeah. And it’s interesting because you
00:05:45.919 just brought this up. You saw that that
00:05:48.639 post that somebody made recently about
00:05:51.840 going to church here in town, uh the
00:05:55.120 large church CCV, and it was a a gay
00:05:57.919 couple.
00:05:58.880 >> Yeah. and she was talking about that
00:06:00.560 they’re teaching about Genesis and
00:06:02.560 they’re teaching about the rainbow and
00:06:06.160 the pastor spoke about how the gays have
00:06:09.280 kind of hijacked that rainbow and she
00:06:11.120 was offended. Well, I’m this type of
00:06:13.919 person where I say
00:06:16.800 if you’re going to be somewhere,
00:06:19.039 understand where you’re stepping into. I
00:06:21.600 mean, I’m not going to step into an all
00:06:23.759 man’s gym and then argue and say, "I
00:06:26.160 should be allowed in here." If that’s
00:06:28.000 the way that they want to do that, then
00:06:29.759 that’s the way they want to do that.
00:06:31.440 It’s when we think it’s good for me, but
00:06:34.240 not for you. You know, it’s like, aren’t
00:06:37.199 you going to then make Christians
00:06:38.720 uncomfortable that they’re following the
00:06:41.840 Bible and in the way they read the Bible
00:06:44.160 is gay is a sin? You don’t have to
00:06:46.800 believe that. Living in America, you
00:06:48.720 don’t have to follow that,
00:06:50.240 >> right? But there’s going to be places
00:06:51.840 where if I walk into a all gay center
00:06:56.560 and they’re doing yoga and they’re and
00:06:58.560 I’m like, "Yoga is a sin. This is
00:07:01.120 awful." They’d kick me out immediately.
00:07:03.680 Totally. Like
00:07:04.319 >> totally.
00:07:05.520 >> America has places for everybody and
00:07:08.080 that’s the way it should be. And we
00:07:09.520 should respect, hey, this is what you’re
00:07:11.520 believing and this is what you’re doing.
00:07:12.960 If you’re not hurting anybody, I will
00:07:15.680 have to respect that. That’s what
00:07:17.759 America is. We’re a melting pot of
00:07:20.000 people. And the second we start to say
00:07:23.759 you’re not welcome here because of your
00:07:25.680 religion, because of your skin color,
00:07:27.360 because of your uh
00:07:28.800 >> sexual
00:07:29.440 >> sexual,
00:07:31.680 you you have to understand where you’re
00:07:34.400 at. Yes. CCV, sorry, is going to talk
00:07:38.240 about the Bible. I mean, that’s where
00:07:42.160 you’re at. And so if you want to be
00:07:44.240 there, like for instance, I’m going to
00:07:46.240 take this in a complete kind of a
00:07:48.400 completely different direction, but it’s
00:07:49.759 not. Our son Jack is very um interested
00:07:53.120 in learning about all the different
00:07:54.879 types of denominations.
00:07:56.960 And he’s considering becoming a priest,
00:07:59.280 but he does not want to become a priest
00:08:00.720 with the Catholic Church because there’s
00:08:02.160 certain things within the Catholic
00:08:03.440 Church that you have to absolutely
00:08:04.960 believe. You have to believe that Mary
00:08:07.360 gave birth to Jesus supernaturally. Like
00:08:10.400 she was impregnated by the Holy Spirit
00:08:12.639 and Jesus somehow came through her skin.
00:08:15.440 >> Right. So I get I get the the virgin
00:08:18.160 pregnancy that uh that God impregnated
00:08:22.160 her but Catholics believe that it’s not
00:08:25.599 just that but the birth itself was not
00:08:29.280 vaginal.
00:08:30.240 >> Correct. And is Jack gonna go to the
00:08:32.880 Catholic church and protest and be like,
00:08:35.200 "You make me feel terrible because I’m
00:08:38.479 not I don’t believe it." No, he can look
00:08:40.399 at other options. And that’s where
00:08:43.839 America, I think, is getting caught up
00:08:46.640 with itself instead of focusing on what
00:08:49.600 you love and embracing that and finding
00:08:51.839 other like-minded people to enjoy that
00:08:53.920 with you while respecting other people
00:08:55.600 that think differently than you. We’re
00:08:57.360 so hard up on having to change
00:08:59.279 everybody’s opinion. opinion to make you
00:09:01.760 comfortable everywhere you go.
00:09:03.360 >> Well, and I love that you’re bringing
00:09:04.480 this up because for so long it seems
00:09:07.279 like in the last several years,
00:09:09.040 particularly with the prior
00:09:10.080 administration, conservatives were
00:09:12.080 sitting back and and saying this isn’t
00:09:14.880 right. We’re we’re having all these
00:09:16.959 things being imposed on us and and we
00:09:21.200 are having our rights trampled on to to
00:09:23.920 be able to practice our religion the way
00:09:25.680 we want, to be able to talk the way we
00:09:27.680 want, to be able to gather the way we
00:09:29.279 want. And now it’s flipped and somebody
00:09:33.360 comes out for the Super Bowl halftime
00:09:36.240 show and it’s conservatives that are
00:09:38.640 being upset about that and saying we
00:09:40.480 shouldn’t let this person do this. And
00:09:42.560 it’s really no different. And it’s the
00:09:43.839 opposite side of the the same coin where
00:09:46.160 we say, you know, uh they they shouldn’t
00:09:49.680 have, you know, the halftime show that’s
00:09:52.480 X and now it’s Y. It’s just it’s two
00:09:54.959 sides of the same thing.
00:09:56.000 >> But critical to me is if you look at
00:09:58.480 studies, it is the most sex traffic day
00:10:01.440 in the year. And so it’s okay to have a
00:10:04.720 sex trafficking day. It’s okay for those
00:10:06.560 guys that are playing football to go and
00:10:08.640 have an orgy after or go have sex after.
00:10:11.680 But it’s not okay to talk about gay sex,
00:10:14.320 >> right?
00:10:14.720 >> I mean, I I just it’s hypocritical and
00:10:17.360 it’s not a church service. Um, Bad
00:10:22.000 Bunny’s not a pastor. I mean, we’re
00:10:24.480 talking football and everyone’s going,
00:10:26.000 "But it’s an American thing." Yeah. And
00:10:28.959 all these guys are not be being
00:10:31.680 nonsinful. I mean,
00:10:33.839 >> right?
00:10:34.399 >> Women are exploited. You have the
00:10:35.920 cheerleaders and and I’m not saying that
00:10:38.399 I’m against all of that. What I’m saying
00:10:40.959 is the second you draw a solid line
00:10:44.560 saying this is where I’m at, that’s the
00:10:47.279 country your ancestors left, forcing
00:10:49.680 everybody to be a certain way. We we
00:10:52.959 purposely came to America to fight for
00:10:54.880 the freedom of having a melting pot of
00:10:58.480 people. and this pendulum that we’re t
00:11:01.360 we’re seeing here where the left came up
00:11:04.399 and balanced I’m sure things that the
00:11:06.560 right did wrong and now we’re balancing
00:11:09.920 out the left. That’s how democracy works
00:11:12.720 but people don’t like to be
00:11:14.480 uncomfortable,
00:11:15.440 >> right?
00:11:15.920 >> They don’t like what they don’t like and
00:11:17.440 it’s like
00:11:19.279 we’re all human beings and yes, you’re
00:11:21.440 going to be feel uncomfortable if it’s
00:11:23.120 not something you align with.
00:11:24.399 >> Yeah. is exactly the same thing as the
00:11:26.959 protesters that we were just talking
00:11:28.399 about a few minutes ago. The exact
00:11:30.480 rights that they are protesting are the
00:11:33.360 rights that are giving them the
00:11:34.800 opportunity to protest. The exact rights
00:11:37.839 that that people are complaining of for
00:11:40.720 a Super Bowl halftime show are the exact
00:11:42.800 rights that are allowing them to put on
00:11:44.320 that halftime show.
00:11:45.279 >> Exactly. It’s so hypocritical. It it it
00:11:48.399 it makes me feel like
00:11:53.360 I’m talking to brainwashed people. Like
00:11:55.279 I’m not literally going I’m going wake
00:11:58.160 up. Wake up. What you’re arguing about
00:12:00.720 is exactly what you complain about.
00:12:02.720 >> So what’s the solution then for people
00:12:04.320 who say because you’ve already posted
00:12:05.760 this on Facebook and somebody instantly
00:12:07.839 responded and said, "I don’t support
00:12:09.920 that. I don’t like the NFL for this. I
00:12:12.480 don’t like that they allow the the the
00:12:14.639 players to kneel for the flag. What’s
00:12:17.279 your solution to those people? Because
00:12:18.880 we’ve got a lot of more cons Christian
00:12:20.880 conservative people that are tuning in
00:12:22.880 here. What’s the answer for them?
00:12:25.600 >> I appreciate that and I understand that
00:12:27.600 feeling,
00:12:28.320 >> but that’s not that’s not enough for
00:12:29.920 them. What else? What are they going to
00:12:31.519 do when this Super Bowl halftime show
00:12:33.279 comes on?
00:12:34.000 >> They’re going to watch TPUSA and they’re
00:12:37.120 going to move on with their life.
00:12:38.320 >> That simple.
00:12:40.000 >> Just that simple. Just change the
00:12:41.519 channel.
00:12:42.240 >> Yeah.
00:12:42.639 >> Tune into something else.
00:12:43.519 >> It’s okay. It’s uncomfortability is okay
00:12:46.320 for you to be uncomfortable. It’s okay.
00:12:48.000 But you know what? If something is super
00:12:49.920 uncomfortable and you you can see where
00:12:52.639 something can be changed.
00:12:55.600 Go out and change it in a respectful,
00:12:59.040 kind way. Try to figure out how to
00:13:01.600 change that.
00:13:02.240 >> Yeah. We just went and saw uh Father
00:13:04.240 Mike Schmidz.
00:13:05.600 >> Yeah.
00:13:06.000 >> Just the other night. And he was talking
00:13:08.079 about that how God didn’t plan for
00:13:11.360 everything to be comfortable.
00:13:14.000 He plans for things to be uncomfortable
00:13:16.399 because it’s it’s provoking you to
00:13:18.639 change. It’s provoking you to look at
00:13:20.880 things differently. It’s important to
00:13:22.959 have that discomfort.
00:13:24.720 >> Yes. How many times are we going to
00:13:26.720 literally go and get a job if someone’s
00:13:28.560 giving us a million dollars a year?
00:13:30.320 >> No.
00:13:30.800 >> I mean, I think I’d get bored. I
00:13:33.839 definitely couldn’t just be sitting
00:13:35.040 there every day. I’d be like, "What is
00:13:36.880 happening?" But that’s what provokes
00:13:40.160 you. It’s that uncomfortability. I mean,
00:13:42.000 you call me Sandy a lot.
00:13:43.600 >> Yeah.
00:13:44.240 >> I I’m very much that person that I
00:13:47.600 believe in people, but I also will kind
00:13:49.839 of make things uncomfortable to say,
00:13:51.600 "Hey, let’s go. Let’s Let’s Why do I
00:13:53.760 keep clapping today?"
00:13:54.720 >> I don’t know.
00:13:55.360 >> What is the clap?
00:13:56.000 >> I don’t know. It’s a good clap.
00:14:00.160 >> Was that racist?
00:14:02.880 >> No. But you know what? You’ve you’ve
00:14:04.240 taken a lot of criticism criticism here
00:14:07.440 recently for your stance on
00:14:13.040 equality and and neutrality really where
00:14:17.360 you’re saying don’t be so one-sided that
00:14:20.639 everything that your side thinks has to
00:14:22.959 be right and the other side has to be
00:14:24.560 wrong. You’ve got to look at it with a
00:14:26.240 balance. You’ve criticized uh some
00:14:28.720 things with Trump recently. You’ve
00:14:30.399 criticized some things with the the
00:14:33.040 conservative movement and you’ve taken a
00:14:36.079 lot of pot shots from that. You’ve taken
00:14:38.000 a lot of criticism, but really what
00:14:40.240 you’re speaking out against is blind,
00:14:43.760 one-sided loyalty without looking at it
00:14:47.120 from the perspective that we’re talking
00:14:49.199 about right here.
00:14:50.160 >> Well, it’s hard to bring conversations
00:14:51.839 together. And in the end, like for
00:14:53.839 myself, the way my heart works, I look
00:14:56.000 at a human being. I don’t care how old
00:14:57.839 you are. I don’t care what race you are.
00:14:59.440 I don’t care what religion you are. My
00:15:01.440 heart sees a soul. My heart sees an this
00:15:05.360 beautiful little baby in my mind. I
00:15:07.120 don’t care how old you are. You were
00:15:08.800 born a beautiful being that God created
00:15:11.519 you to be. And what you were taught or
00:15:14.320 what people are teaching you, some of it
00:15:16.800 good, some of it bad. But when I see a
00:15:19.440 person yelling, I see someone that’s
00:15:21.040 never been heard. I see someone that’s
00:15:23.040 maybe feeling uh forgotten. Um, and I
00:15:26.800 know that I don’t have the answers for
00:15:28.320 everything, but I do know that I see
00:15:31.040 everybody’s heart. I see their heart.
00:15:33.199 And they’re not wanting to hate other
00:15:34.959 people. They’re just taught that that’s
00:15:36.240 what they have to do to protect
00:15:38.639 themselves, to protect them family,
00:15:40.480 their family. And I think that’s why I
00:15:43.199 can see how to try and like a a a a
00:15:48.560 I can get in deeper with my heart with
00:15:50.959 people because I don’t see them as what
00:15:54.240 they always say. I don’t see them as
00:15:56.639 understanding what’s going on. And we
00:15:58.480 can’t bridge that without real
00:16:02.079 conversation. And so if you’re just a
00:16:04.399 parrot and you’re just repeating things
00:16:06.320 that you were taught or you’re just like
00:16:08.480 for myself, I remember years ago I was
00:16:11.519 walking Jack. He was a baby and I
00:16:14.399 remember thinking heaven is above us.
00:16:17.279 And then I thought what why did you say
00:16:19.279 that? And I was like, well, because
00:16:21.120 someone told me that. And unless you
00:16:23.600 decide to go down a journey yourself and
00:16:26.800 actually unravel your beliefs and
00:16:29.600 understand where they’re coming from,
00:16:31.279 like I might not know where someone else
00:16:33.759 is coming from unless you teach me. I
00:16:36.399 want to understand where you’re coming
00:16:38.160 from. I want to understand what your
00:16:40.480 life has been like. You know what? Maybe
00:16:42.560 I’d understand you better in your view
00:16:44.800 if I understood where your life was
00:16:46.240 coming from. you’d maybe understand me
00:16:48.720 better if you actually took the time to
00:16:51.040 put down all of the things that you’re
00:16:53.920 you’re guarding yourself from
00:16:55.600 understanding and saying, "I’m going to
00:16:57.120 listen to her for a minute."
00:16:58.240 >> That’s hard to do. That’s hard to
00:17:00.320 emotionally let go. And you’ve you’ve
00:17:02.399 done a great job of of modeling that for
00:17:05.679 for Jack, for instance, who with his
00:17:08.640 interest in in religion and and uh faith
00:17:13.679 has deconstructed his religious beliefs
00:17:17.119 multiple times over. He’s torn it down
00:17:19.919 and gone to the very bottom of why do I
00:17:22.559 believe this? Why? What if that’s wrong?
00:17:25.039 And and so what you’re talking about is
00:17:27.439 something that yeah, people wrap
00:17:29.280 themselves in the emotion of those
00:17:33.200 belief systems that that’s their
00:17:35.840 identity. And so it’s very very hard to
00:17:39.039 do exactly that to remove those those,
00:17:42.320 you know, the safety net and say, "Well,
00:17:44.160 what am I if I don’t believe that?"
00:17:45.919 >> Well, it also you can get caught up into
00:17:48.400 what societyy’s talking about. And like
00:17:50.880 right now a big thing on TikTok is black
00:17:53.679 people saying that white people walk
00:17:55.120 past them and do this. I do that to
00:17:57.760 everybody. I mean I don’t care if you’re
00:17:59.840 black, white, red. I I I don’t care who
00:18:01.840 you are. I smile at people with that
00:18:04.160 smile. And it honestly is making me feel
00:18:06.799 paranoid because if I walk past someone
00:18:09.200 that’s black, I feel bad if I do that
00:18:11.919 smile because I don’t want them to think
00:18:13.440 that I’m racist.
00:18:14.720 >> Is this isn’t that weird? Is this really
00:18:16.400 a thing or is this just
00:18:17.919 >> everybody can just be smiling and being
00:18:19.919 normal and like I don’t know. It just
00:18:23.919 makes me feel really bad that I growing
00:18:27.360 up in Chicago like growing up around
00:18:30.400 black and white people constantly that
00:18:32.080 now I’m 52 years old and I feel paranoid
00:18:34.559 if I should be smiling at someone.
00:18:37.039 >> But it’s it’s common courtesy. I mean
00:18:40.080 this is this is it’s a way
00:18:41.360 >> this is what they’re saying. They’re
00:18:42.799 saying we’re not allowed to do that.
00:18:44.080 >> What else are you supposed to do? you’re
00:18:45.360 you’re it’s it’s a it’s a nonverbal
00:18:48.000 signal to somebody who’s a complete
00:18:49.840 stranger that
00:18:51.520 >> you know, hey, we can all be alive and
00:18:54.480 friendly and just pass.
00:18:56.480 >> But my point is it’s becoming so viral
00:19:00.880 that it is affecting the way people want
00:19:05.280 to act because they’re thinking that
00:19:08.000 it’s white people are now thinking it’s
00:19:10.000 racist to give a smile like that to
00:19:13.360 black people.
00:19:15.360 which is ridiculous. Yeah,
00:19:16.799 >> I still smile, but I can’t tell you
00:19:18.799 right. This is the way and and it’s not
00:19:20.400 even about that. It’s about
00:19:22.480 >> it’s about alienating people from each
00:19:25.760 other and it’s mocking habits of certain
00:19:29.520 like we go to Poland and nobody smiles
00:19:31.600 or right like you go to other countries
00:19:33.360 and they’re like they call it American
00:19:35.919 smile, right? Or the the Polish smile
00:19:38.480 where you don’t smile at all. But this
00:19:40.480 is what creates distance between people
00:19:43.600 and and it and it’s sad because it’s
00:19:45.520 probably 2% of people on TikTok that are
00:19:49.200 representing the black community saying
00:19:51.120 that white people are doing that and so
00:19:53.360 but it’s all over. It’s it’s it’s like
00:19:56.720 please don’t do that because I want to
00:19:59.039 be able to smile at you and not feel
00:20:01.039 that I’m doing something against like
00:20:02.240 last night we had a friend over and he
00:20:03.520 says he’s very particular about what he
00:20:05.120 eats,
00:20:05.520 >> right?
00:20:05.840 >> So what did I do? I didn’t have any
00:20:07.600 snacks when we’re hanging out because
00:20:09.360 I’m like, I don’t want to offend you to
00:20:10.720 make you feel like you have to eat this.
00:20:12.320 I’m always very careful about wanting to
00:20:15.360 make sure people understand that like I
00:20:18.640 respect you.
00:20:19.840 >> And I think with this country, we create
00:20:22.240 issues that didn’t need to exist in the
00:20:24.720 first place.
00:20:25.760 >> Why is it so bad that I’m smiling at
00:20:27.760 you?
00:20:27.919 >> No, I think that’s what this this smile
00:20:29.840 thing is all about. It’s just it’s a
00:20:31.840 show of of
00:20:34.080 friendliness. It’s a show of respect.
00:20:36.480 It’s a show of, hey, we’re just two
00:20:39.679 people passing, you know, by. We’re
00:20:41.440 we’re all in this together. I don’t I
00:20:43.120 don’t get that. That’s That’s
00:20:44.799 frustrating to me.
00:20:46.559 >> No, but it’s just another thing to add
00:20:48.400 to the list where you’re like, would you
00:20:49.760 guys would you just stop that?
00:20:51.840 >> Right. Right.
00:20:52.799 >> And white people are posting about it,
00:20:54.240 too.
00:20:55.039 >> They’re like, seriously?
00:20:56.000 >> Yes.
00:20:57.520 >> Yes.
00:20:58.400 >> That’s all new to me. I didn’t know
00:20:59.520 about that.
00:20:59.919 >> Well, you’re not on TikTok.
00:21:00.960 >> Yeah. No. No. I wanted
00:21:02.799 >> I will forever smile at everybody. I’m
00:21:04.640 just letting everybody know.
00:21:05.919 >> I think you should.
00:21:06.720 >> I love everybody. I want to smile at I
00:21:08.640 don’t love every I mean, I don’t like
00:21:09.760 rapists. I mean, that sounds really
00:21:11.760 anti-Christian, but I really
00:21:14.480 I don’t like child hurting children.
00:21:17.280 That’s like one of my big things that I
00:21:18.880 I can’t I can’t
00:21:20.559 >> in my heart. I cannot wrap my head
00:21:23.200 around child trafficking or hurting
00:21:26.799 children. I can’t. I just
00:21:29.120 >> totally
00:21:29.679 >> I and I should like I I really have to
00:21:32.400 pray for those people because they can’t
00:21:34.240 >> if ICE gets a warrant for the arrest of
00:21:36.960 an illegal who has hurt somebody,
00:21:39.600 particularly children, they should
00:21:41.360 arrest them.
00:21:42.400 >> That’s what the warrants are for. And
00:21:44.480 it’s not just stealing citizens off the
00:21:46.559 streets and taking away their rights.
00:21:47.919 >> No, it’s absolutely ridiculous. I want I
00:21:50.400 wanted to back up because when you were
00:21:52.000 explaining one of the things just a
00:21:53.440 couple of minutes ago, you talked about
00:21:55.760 uh the yelling and the emotion and it
00:21:59.520 seems like there’s so much of that that
00:22:01.919 people are getting so emotional online
00:22:05.840 with some of the the things that you’ve
00:22:07.440 shown me and it’s hard to boil it down
00:22:12.159 and get to the the logic and the facts
00:22:15.200 of what’s happening when these people
00:22:16.720 are so upset. Okay, so this is what I
00:22:19.840 think. I think that they feel unheard.
00:22:21.840 Here you have a person, in my opinion,
00:22:24.080 this many of these people that are
00:22:25.679 yelling look like they’ve been not heard
00:22:29.120 from. You know, they are they have nose
00:22:32.000 rings. They have purple pink hair.
00:22:35.520 Does that really matter? No. But there
00:22:38.240 is I it’s I I don’t know how to put
00:22:41.200 this.
00:22:43.679 It’s a symptom of
00:22:45.440 >> it looks it remind there is a you know
00:22:48.799 they’ll say conservative white women
00:22:50.240 look all alike they got blonde hair they
00:22:52.000 do this they do that whatever
00:22:54.240 >> but liberal farleft liberalleaning
00:22:58.559 people are typically these white women
00:23:01.760 that are
00:23:03.919 a lot of times lesbians
00:23:07.280 should I be saying this
00:23:08.320 >> I don’t know I mean I think there there
00:23:10.480 there’s definitely that segment of angry
00:23:12.559 people. And I’m not and and and this is
00:23:14.960 this is where I’m coming from.
00:23:16.960 >> I’m not saying I live their life. I’m
00:23:18.559 not saying that they didn’t have a
00:23:20.000 horrible life. I’m not saying that
00:23:22.880 >> at all, but I find it very difficult to
00:23:26.159 be giving you space in my heart when
00:23:30.480 you’re saying, "F you," and you’re
00:23:32.240 yelling and you’re not bringing up facts
00:23:34.159 and you’re just like, "This is terrible
00:23:36.480 and Trump is a racist and Trump is a
00:23:39.440 misog blah blah blah blah blah." Okay,
00:23:41.440 but what do you need from me right now?
00:23:44.159 I need you to hate Trump, but Okay, but
00:23:46.400 what do you need from me right now?
00:23:48.559 Like, what do you need from me right
00:23:50.240 now? Do you need me to
00:23:53.440 help you what what do you need? Do you
00:23:56.880 need me to help you get a job? Do you
00:23:58.720 need me like what do you like? Let’s
00:24:00.880 talk about practical situations where I
00:24:03.440 can help you.
00:24:04.559 It’s frustrating because those videos
00:24:07.120 online of people going up and and
00:24:09.520 wanting to talk to the protesters and
00:24:13.120 saying confronting them with, okay,
00:24:14.720 well, explain to me, give me give me the
00:24:16.799 logical thoughts that you’re having. And
00:24:18.960 there’s no logic there. It’s just anger.
00:24:21.360 It’s just emotion. And then when you
00:24:23.520 when you actually confront them with,
00:24:25.200 "All right, what is what are the logical
00:24:27.279 facts that you have behind that
00:24:28.720 emotion?" They say, "I can’t talk to
00:24:30.559 you." and they walk away
00:24:32.320 >> because it’s an emotional person. And
00:24:34.720 this is this is where I I was also
00:24:36.480 talking about this the other day.
00:24:37.919 Conservatives are very much um
00:24:42.000 actionorientated.
00:24:44.080 Is that is that right?
00:24:46.159 >> And a lot of liberals that I met are
00:24:48.320 more emotional. And I’m not saying it’s
00:24:50.159 wrong. I’m saying there’s a balance.
00:24:51.840 >> And you’re also not saying it’s 100%
00:24:53.600 that way one way or the other.
00:24:55.120 >> But but a lot of it is more I’m not
00:24:57.520 supported. I’m not appreciated. I’m very
00:25:00.559 emotional about what’s happened to me.
00:25:01.840 I’ve had emotional stuff happen to me. I
00:25:03.600 completely get that. But at the end of
00:25:05.840 the day, we can’t just rely on emotions
00:25:09.200 for things. When you’re emotional and
00:25:10.799 you’re needing a hospital to maybe give
00:25:12.720 you anti-anxiety meds, you expect that a
00:25:14.880 hospital to be open. So, you’re relying
00:25:17.039 on the people that are responsibly
00:25:20.480 coming into work every day, the people
00:25:22.240 that are
00:25:24.320 showing up even if they don’t feel like
00:25:26.400 it, right? So, you have to appreciate
00:25:28.240 that. As much as you you maybe say, "I I
00:25:31.039 don’t care." You do care.
00:25:32.880 >> You do care. You do care. And what I was
00:25:35.279 trying to talk about the other day was,
00:25:37.360 you know, if everybody was just living
00:25:41.120 by their emotions, nothing would ever
00:25:43.600 get done. I know I wouldn’t. I’m I mean,
00:25:46.640 with Perry Menopause, man, I’m emotional
00:25:49.039 more than I’ve ever been. I get
00:25:50.720 depressed. I get anxious. And I feel
00:25:52.960 like I can’t do things a lot.
00:25:55.120 >> Yeah. Your your example was great the
00:25:57.360 other day about the the pilot. If a
00:26:00.640 pilot showed up and the whole airline is
00:26:03.919 waiting for the flight to take off, you
00:26:05.440 got a meeting you got to get to. You got
00:26:07.279 family you got to see. You got a
00:26:08.480 holiday, whatever it is. And the pilot
00:26:11.279 just went off of emotion and said, "You
00:26:12.880 know what? I’m having an emotional day.
00:26:14.159 I can’t fly today."
00:26:15.120 >> Yes, you do. You need to I’m emotional
00:26:16.720 more emotional now. You have to fly. And
00:26:19.279 I’m not mocking people. Like, I get it.
00:26:21.760 I’ve had an emotional um life. I’m also
00:26:25.760 a woman, so I feel things probably more
00:26:29.600 than men. And I obviously can’t prove
00:26:32.240 that completely, but um
00:26:34.960 >> I have no opinion on that whatsoever.
00:26:36.799 >> Thank God.
00:26:40.000 Just kidding. You can have opinion.
00:26:42.960 But I just I mean going back to the
00:26:46.240 hypocrisy thing and going back to all
00:26:48.640 this, I appreciate people speaking up
00:26:51.760 when they feel unheard. And I and I’m
00:26:53.760 not, you know, mocking these people. I
00:26:57.520 get that that’s how they feel that they
00:26:59.279 have to communicate to try and get um
00:27:02.960 people to hear them.
00:27:04.559 as a um as a uh as who I am. I I don’t
00:27:12.240 see that as productive communication.
00:27:14.880 >> No,
00:27:15.200 >> I don’t want to just label myself as a
00:27:16.799 conservative business owner.
00:27:19.360 I just however I believe how I grew up,
00:27:22.320 I don’t find that to be constructive and
00:27:24.960 I don’t find that you are going to get
00:27:27.919 people to actually listen to that. Well,
00:27:30.320 it’s it’s hard because for so many years
00:27:32.960 now, our country has swung the pendulum
00:27:37.760 where, you know, there was a time back
00:27:40.080 in what the the 30s, 40s, 50s where it
00:27:44.400 was.
00:27:45.279 >> You were alive back then. I was not. I’m
00:27:46.720 much younger.
00:27:47.279 >> Far from it. Thank you very much. But it
00:27:50.159 was it was, you know, no interest in
00:27:53.120 anybody’s emotions at all. and we swung
00:27:56.080 the pendulum to where everybody’s
00:27:58.159 emotions have to be validated and it
00:28:01.600 feels like it’s gone too far that
00:28:03.120 direction and there’s got to be a a
00:28:05.120 happy middle ground.
00:28:06.159 >> It’s like you’re talking about everyone
00:28:07.440 getting the an award.
00:28:09.039 >> Yeah.
00:28:09.600 >> Everyone, you know, I remember being
00:28:11.520 younger and of course I remember my
00:28:13.440 life. Anyways, I was on a water ski team
00:28:16.320 when I was younger. I was on a water ski
00:28:17.840 team growing up and you didn’t get to go
00:28:20.559 out and do pyramid or go and do ballet
00:28:23.520 line unless you were actually good. But
00:28:26.640 you know what that did? It got me to go
00:28:28.559 outside and ski every day. And it got me
00:28:33.200 excited to like try the trick over and
00:28:36.960 over and over and over again. And then I
00:28:39.200 finally I finally did it and I was able
00:28:42.000 to go out there and do it. And it’s very
00:28:45.760 rewarding. I mean, like I think we’ve
00:28:47.840 talked about this before. Have you guys
00:28:49.120 ever played those like online games? And
00:28:52.559 you know, at the time I was playing
00:28:53.840 them, I remember I was super broke. Like
00:28:55.840 this was when I was going through
00:28:56.880 divorce with Jack and like I didn’t have
00:28:58.559 two nickels to rub.
00:28:59.440 >> It was like the farm one where you built
00:29:00.799 the farm.
00:29:01.360 >> Yes. I didn’t have two nickels to rub
00:29:03.039 together. I had no business buying any
00:29:05.520 coins ahead of time. But like if you’re
00:29:08.080 playing a game and you have all the
00:29:10.080 money in the world to just constantly
00:29:13.120 build your farm, build your farm. You
00:29:15.520 literally within a day you’re like,
00:29:16.880 "Well, this is boring." And you go on to
00:29:19.039 another game because guess what? You’re
00:29:21.360 getting everything you want at the
00:29:22.960 moment. I don’t know where we started
00:29:24.799 with this. See?
00:29:26.320 >> No, that that’s that’s great. And and I
00:29:28.399 was going to give you a movie quote. I
00:29:30.159 was going to give you a movie quote from
00:29:31.360 a movie quote from a a movie back in the
00:29:34.000 80s, Wall Street, and it was starring uh
00:29:36.000 Michael Douglas.
00:29:37.360 >> And and his quote was this guy was a
00:29:39.200 corporate raider, and he would go in and
00:29:42.159 buy up stock. he was a billionaire,
00:29:44.000 would buy up stocks for a company and
00:29:46.159 and take over the company and then sell
00:29:48.640 it off and make a ton of money himself.
00:29:50.799 And so he was the villain. He was a bad
00:29:52.880 character in this movie. But he gave
00:29:54.960 this speech at this shareholders meeting
00:29:58.000 where he stood up and he’s trying to
00:29:59.440 convince the shareholders to side with
00:30:01.360 him and he said greed, for lack of a
00:30:04.080 better word, is a good thing. And and
00:30:06.960 while I don’t agree with the greed part
00:30:08.399 of it, what his sentiment was
00:30:11.760 if you are uncomfortable enough for to
00:30:15.760 be competitive, it pushes you. It pushes
00:30:18.960 you to
00:30:20.720 succeed, excel, reach for something,
00:30:23.360 strive for something. And that’s what he
00:30:24.720 meant by the the greed. It wasn’t just,
00:30:27.120 oh, give me all the money in the world,
00:30:28.480 but it was it was if you are willing and
00:30:31.600 and desirous enough to seek something
00:30:34.240 out, you can excel. And he was using the
00:30:37.440 term greed for that. And that’s exactly
00:30:39.360 what you’re talking about with the
00:30:41.039 awards uh for every kid that plays
00:30:43.679 soccer or motivating you to do better on
00:30:46.240 the ski team.
00:30:46.960 >> They’re uncomfortable. They don’t feel
00:30:49.200 like it. It’s too hard. It’s like we’ve
00:30:52.159 become this like
00:30:53.440 >> soft
00:30:54.000 >> soft country. Yeah. Yeah. I I agree. I
00:30:57.520 agree. I wanted to touch on something
00:31:00.399 going back to
00:31:01.120 >> You’re so handsome.
00:31:02.080 >> Thanks.
00:31:02.799 >> I always love sitting here and watching.
00:31:04.240 >> I know. You’re fun, too. All right. That
00:31:05.840 was uncomfortable. Okay.
00:31:08.320 >> What?
00:31:10.159 >> How rude.
00:31:11.840 >> Saying it’s uncomfortable to say I’m
00:31:13.279 fun.
00:31:14.159 >> No, you’re fun. It was uncomfortable you
00:31:16.559 uh turning the attention to me. But
00:31:18.159 anyway,
00:31:19.679 >> I wanted to go back and talk about
00:31:21.200 something with the the protesters
00:31:23.440 because there were a few of the videos
00:31:25.760 that you saw me and again it’s the the
00:31:27.919 people that are very emotional and
00:31:30.159 screaming and shouting and all that, but
00:31:32.320 the one guy in particular was saying
00:31:35.200 that he was protesting and I don’t think
00:31:38.240 this guy gave the full story because he
00:31:40.159 had to have done something else. He
00:31:41.679 jumped in somebody’s car and he was
00:31:43.360 saying that he got arrested and he was
00:31:46.320 put in a holding tank with a bunch of
00:31:48.399 other people that got arrested. So
00:31:50.240 clearly they’re doing things that cross
00:31:51.840 the line because protesting doesn’t get
00:31:53.919 you arrested.
00:31:55.600 If it’s illegal protesting or if you do
00:31:58.240 something else illegal, you get arrested
00:31:59.840 for that. But his big complaint was we
00:32:02.480 were all there. None of us got to talk
00:32:04.399 to a lawyer. None of us got our Miranda
00:32:06.399 rights read. And I feel like I have to
00:32:09.679 address that because that’s not the law.
00:32:12.480 That’s not what the law says.
00:32:13.679 >> What does the law say?
00:32:14.799 >> So just because you’re arrested doesn’t
00:32:17.679 mean you get your Miranda rights read.
00:32:19.679 It does not. And that’s a big
00:32:21.360 misconception. Hollywood has it wrong.
00:32:23.600 Hollywood says somebody gets arrested,
00:32:25.360 they get their Miranda rights read, and
00:32:26.880 if if you don’t get your Miranda rights
00:32:28.799 read, that it’s an illegal arrest. And
00:32:30.720 that’s not true. There are two
00:32:32.720 conditions, absolutely two conditions
00:32:34.720 that you have to have that require
00:32:37.120 Miranda rights. Custodial
00:32:40.159 interrogation.
00:32:41.039 >> What is that?
00:32:41.600 >> Means you are taken into custody. You
00:32:43.360 are not free to leave. Custodial and
00:32:46.080 then the second one is interrogation
00:32:48.240 where you are being asked questions. So
00:32:50.720 you have to have both of those together.
00:32:52.880 Get this. If you’re free to go at any
00:32:55.760 time and an officer, a a a law
00:32:58.720 enforcement officer is asking you
00:33:00.320 questions, that’s not custodial
00:33:02.320 interrogation. You don’t get your
00:33:03.519 Miranda rights read.
00:33:04.880 >> If you are taken into custody, but
00:33:07.120 you’re not being questioned,
00:33:08.799 >> you don’t get your Miranda rights read.
00:33:10.399 So,
00:33:10.799 >> you have to have custodial
00:33:12.159 interrogation. And the other thing is
00:33:15.679 >> the right to a lawyer. Just because
00:33:17.600 you’re arrested, you don’t get the right
00:33:19.360 to a lawyer right then. If you’re going
00:33:21.519 to be questioned in custody, if you’re
00:33:23.519 going to be custodial interrogated, you
00:33:26.399 have the right to a lawyer for that.
00:33:27.679 >> Well, I would just like to say if I ever
00:33:29.279 need an attorney, I want it to be you.
00:33:30.480 And if I ever need a pat down, I want it
00:33:33.200 to be you.
00:33:38.080 >> You’re blushing.
00:33:39.200 >> That can be arranged.
00:33:41.760 So, we were talking about something else
00:33:45.200 recently that that we had heard online
00:33:48.399 and it was really really interesting.
00:33:49.760 Actually, I think it was on the the Joe
00:33:51.840 Rogan podcast. He had somebody on who
00:33:54.320 had done some
00:33:57.039 uh
00:33:57.360 >> Hold on, my hair is sticking up right
00:33:58.559 here.
00:34:00.159 >> Okay.
00:34:00.960 >> He had done some statistics or he had he
00:34:03.760 had looked into some stories.
00:34:05.279 >> Yes.
00:34:05.840 >> About co
00:34:06.960 >> Yes.
00:34:07.440 >> that I thought was so interesting
00:34:10.560 >> and it was also based in law which is I
00:34:14.960 guess one of the reasons I found it so
00:34:16.560 interesting. But there was a an
00:34:18.800 unofficial scientific study. So when
00:34:21.918 people were hospitalized with COVID
00:34:24.800 during the whole pandemic, there were
00:34:27.760 certain people who were insisting on
00:34:30.480 being treated with ivormectin.
00:34:33.119 >> And this one particular study looked at
00:34:36.000 80 lawsuits that were filed against
00:34:38.159 hospitals, people wanting to have
00:34:41.520 ivormectin administered. And of those 80
00:34:45.599 lawsuits,
00:34:47.119 40 of them
00:34:49.119 the court granted the Ivormectin and 40
00:34:53.119 of them the court said no no
00:34:55.520 Ivormectton. These are obviously all
00:34:57.440 different courts all around the nation.
00:34:58.880 So it’s not just one court because
00:35:00.000 that’s inconsistent.
00:35:00.800 >> And 38 of the ones that were given
00:35:02.560 ivormectin survived, two died, right?
00:35:05.200 >> And 40 that were not given the
00:35:06.640 ivormectin passed away sadly.
00:35:08.880 >> Yeah. Which I thought was an a
00:35:10.880 tremendous statistic. Again, it’s not a
00:35:12.800 scientistic peer-reviewed study, but I
00:35:16.560 mean that those numbers are really
00:35:18.400 really hard to argue against.
00:35:20.480 >> Yeah. And we actually during COVID were
00:35:23.920 called we got a phone number and we
00:35:26.160 called it and it was a doctor and he
00:35:28.000 said, "I’m with the white hats." Is it
00:35:30.320 that?
00:35:30.640 >> Yeah. Yeah.
00:35:31.280 >> And he goes, "So I work for America with
00:35:32.720 the White Hats and we’re trying to save
00:35:34.800 as many people as we can." And he wrote
00:35:37.280 us a a prescription for
00:35:39.839 >> ivormectin. Yeah. And when we got COVID,
00:35:42.880 we took ivormectin. We actually gave it
00:35:44.560 to a friend who was deathly ill. His
00:35:47.520 oxygen level was in the 80s and very
00:35:50.640 dangerous. He started taking it
00:35:52.880 >> and by day three he said like he felt
00:35:55.040 like a new man.
00:35:56.320 >> Right.
00:35:56.800 >> And the nurse across the street told him
00:35:58.320 to stop taking it.
00:35:59.280 >> Yeah.
00:35:59.520 >> And then he got bad again and he went to
00:36:01.040 the hospital. But I swear I think it
00:36:03.440 saved his life.
00:36:04.800 >> Yeah. I I just I can’t get over that. I
00:36:07.280 mean, we’ve always thought this,
00:36:09.760 suspected this, known this about the the
00:36:12.320 the treatment with ivormectin, but it
00:36:14.880 was just really really stark to have
00:36:16.880 those numbers come out that somebody’s
00:36:19.040 actually put together. I just I love
00:36:20.640 that.
00:36:20.880 >> And there’s so much so many more studies
00:36:22.400 currently that they talk about helping
00:36:24.640 help helping with cancer and things like
00:36:26.000 that.
00:36:26.560 >> Yeah. Yeah. And then we saw something
00:36:28.480 else that was really really cool online
00:36:32.079 that again, it depends on how uh
00:36:34.480 conspiratorial you want to get. we’ve
00:36:37.119 talked about.
00:36:37.760 >> I love it.
00:36:39.200 >> Some of that stuff.
00:36:39.839 >> I love all confused.
00:36:40.800 >> It’s so interesting. But this one caught
00:36:44.320 me by surprise because I never thought
00:36:45.839 about that either. And it’s about the
00:36:47.280 the nuclear test from the 50s
00:36:49.760 >> and the the cameras. You remember that?
00:36:51.920 >> Yes. They you see it. It’s like uh like
00:36:55.680 a sepia color almost like a brownish
00:36:58.079 color
00:36:58.880 >> and the nuclear weapon goes off the You
00:37:01.599 see
00:37:01.920 >> it’s this huge shock wave that goes
00:37:03.839 through the house and tears it apart.
00:37:05.599 see the camera and they’re like, "What
00:37:07.119 happened to the camera?" And then all of
00:37:08.240 a sudden there’s a car there and then
00:37:09.359 there’s no car there. Like it was so
00:37:10.720 fake.
00:37:11.280 >> Yeah. Well, because think about this
00:37:13.200 again going back to our traveling uh
00:37:15.680 last week going through the airport and
00:37:17.760 there’s big signs in Jackson Hall last
00:37:19.760 week.
00:37:20.000 >> Yeah. There’s still signs to this day
00:37:21.599 that said don’t take your film, old
00:37:24.800 oldfashioned film through the X-ray
00:37:26.880 machine because it’ll damage it. So an
00:37:29.359 X-ray machine with regular film will get
00:37:32.240 destroyed, but a camera watching a
00:37:34.640 nuclear weapon go off would be fine and
00:37:37.520 say stationary while this huge
00:37:40.960 radioactive shock wave comes through.
00:37:44.960 Really surprising. And yeah, then the
00:37:47.359 one with the the no car and it looked
00:37:50.880 kind of like a model car parked behind
00:37:52.640 this house.
00:37:53.119 >> It was so fake.
00:37:53.920 >> It was not there. Then just before the
00:37:56.240 shock wave hits, suddenly there’s a car
00:37:57.920 there and the shock wave hits and it
00:37:59.680 goes tumbling and uh it just it just
00:38:03.119 reeks of
00:38:06.079 uh
00:38:07.599 publicity, manipulation.
00:38:09.920 >> But what what Okay, so let’s do that.
00:38:12.560 Manipulation for what? To make us
00:38:15.119 scared? I mean, as a kid, I remember
00:38:17.280 going under our desks. Yeah.
00:38:19.280 >> Because we were afraid. Does that mean
00:38:21.040 nuclear weapons don’t exist or what?
00:38:23.040 What? I mean, is that why? I mean, maybe
00:38:25.440 they knew it was a fake video and then
00:38:26.880 they’re like, "Oh, that looks really
00:38:27.920 good. We’re just going to play it off as
00:38:29.440 real."
00:38:30.320 >> I think, honestly, I think that had to
00:38:32.480 have been
00:38:33.760 >> sort of
00:38:36.400 filmed and produced and sent out for
00:38:39.760 purposes of the Cold War.
00:38:41.520 >> I know, but like come on. There’s so
00:38:43.839 many things that like even with like the
00:38:45.839 moonlanding and how fake that seems, the
00:38:49.200 videos, it’s like then you want people
00:38:52.000 to say no. Like everything the
00:38:54.240 government does is honest, but then you
00:38:56.240 watch these things and you’re like, come
00:38:57.599 on.
00:38:58.079 >> Well, so that’s where the balance comes
00:38:59.760 in that that we’re always talking about.
00:39:01.680 And I think I think with the cold war it
00:39:04.480 was purposefully done to
00:39:09.040 promote against the Eastern block
00:39:11.280 countries, USSR and all that so that
00:39:13.440 they would be mindful and worried about
00:39:16.079 the technology and the weapons that that
00:39:18.160 we have. Um, but it was obviously fake
00:39:22.079 the the videos, but nobody knew that.
00:39:24.160 And still to this day, I mean, I’ve seen
00:39:26.320 those videos hundreds of times in my
00:39:28.079 life, and I’ve never once thought, "Oh,
00:39:29.680 those are those look fake." But now that
00:39:31.440 somebody said it,
00:39:32.480 >> we don’t question that,
00:39:33.599 >> right?
00:39:34.079 >> And we’re like, "Yeah,
00:39:35.119 >> well, we should. We should. We
00:39:36.720 absolutely should."
00:39:38.480 >> But not yelling and screaming and
00:39:40.240 >> sort of like sort of like Trump talking
00:39:42.240 about the weapons that were used in in
00:39:45.359 Venezuela, which I think a it’s it could
00:39:49.839 be a little bit of that,
00:39:51.520 >> you know, just saying it. B, it there’s
00:39:54.880 also some weapons that we have that are
00:39:57.200 really tremendous weapons that didn’t
00:39:59.440 allow the Venezuelans to even get off a
00:40:01.599 a a shot at
00:40:02.960 >> No. And do you think any of that has to
00:40:04.560 do with how well Trump is doing in
00:40:06.240 Davos?
00:40:07.440 >> Absolutely. Absolutely. And so that’s
00:40:10.240 what I mean. He’s he’s using the things
00:40:13.440 that have already been publicized that
00:40:16.079 we know about and he’s also talking
00:40:18.079 about the things that people don’t know
00:40:20.720 about. How much of that’s true or not,
00:40:22.880 we don’t know. I mean, there’s there’s
00:40:25.359 always secrets that the government has,
00:40:26.880 but I think that’s it’s brilliant to use
00:40:29.119 it like that. And I think he’s a great
00:40:31.680 negotiator. And I think everything he’s
00:40:33.440 done with Venezuela and and Greenland,
00:40:36.079 which I was initially against the
00:40:38.960 Venezuela thing, but in looking at it, I
00:40:41.119 I think he’s a brilliant negotiator, and
00:40:43.520 that’s what’s been going on. He’s just
00:40:44.880 everything’s a negotiation for him.
00:40:46.960 >> Yeah. He’s always 10 steps ahead.
00:40:48.880 >> I mean, think about it. his entire
00:40:50.800 career he’s bought and sold property.
00:40:54.079 >> Yeah. America’s property.
00:40:55.920 >> Kind of what he’s doing with Greenland.
00:40:57.599 >> Yeah.
00:40:58.000 >> And and is he using a little bit of
00:40:59.520 muscle? Is he using a little bit of
00:41:00.880 bluff? Absolutely. Whatever gets the job
00:41:03.920 done. But when you boil it down to and
00:41:05.839 we talked to uh Jeff a couple of weeks
00:41:09.040 ago, uh Jeff Smith on the podcast.
00:41:11.680 >> Yeah.
00:41:12.319 >> About the the need for security for the
00:41:16.560 United States and the Western
00:41:17.680 Hemisphere. And I think that that that’s
00:41:19.520 smart because I I think from everything
00:41:21.280 that we know, if we don’t
00:41:25.359 have some semblance of control and
00:41:27.599 presence in Greenland, then somebody
00:41:29.680 else who’s opposed to us will.
00:41:31.520 >> Oh, absolutely. And I mean that would
00:41:34.160 corner us in.
00:41:35.200 >> Yeah. Yeah. Absolutely. So, it is a it’s
00:41:36.960 a national security issue. So, I think
00:41:38.960 he’s doing a a brilliant job at Davos
00:41:41.680 with all of that. And I love the fact
00:41:44.000 that you showed me that video where
00:41:47.520 every other leader in the entire world
00:41:51.680 essentially was waiting to shake his
00:41:54.000 hand. And I think that really speaks to
00:41:56.800 not only the strength of him as our
00:41:58.960 leader, but the the strength and respect
00:42:01.280 of the United States now, which is so
00:42:03.760 important. And what’s funny is all of
00:42:05.119 these people that are like hating on
00:42:06.800 Trump and they’re like, "No kings, but
00:42:09.359 yet they’re defending all these other
00:42:11.200 countries to say that Trump’s
00:42:12.720 embarrassing where they do have kings."
00:42:14.640 >> Right.
00:42:16.640 >> Right. And again,
00:42:18.720 if we had a king, you wouldn’t be able
00:42:21.119 to protest the king. The king would
00:42:22.960 >> Yes. You wouldn’t be having Bunny
00:42:25.359 talking about LGBTQ as if Trump is
00:42:29.760 against that. ties right back into what
00:42:31.599 we were saying about the the very rights
00:42:33.680 that you are protesting are giving you
00:42:35.839 the ability to protest.
00:42:37.839 >> You know, I I I love America. I mean, as
00:42:41.200 much as we can have
00:42:44.160 crappy things happen and 5% of the
00:42:46.400 people ruin it for 95% of the other
00:42:48.560 people, I think I I I honestly I have
00:42:51.599 not met a lot of really,
00:42:55.359 you know, people always say, "Oh,
00:42:56.880 there’s so much anti-semitism right
00:42:58.640 now." You don’t feel that.
00:43:00.160 >> No.
00:43:00.880 >> And you’re raised Jewish and you’re, you
00:43:02.960 know, you’re Christian. I Are you
00:43:05.920 Jewish? Christian,
00:43:08.160 >> but
00:43:09.359 >> you don’t feel that.
00:43:10.400 >> No.
00:43:10.880 >> And it’s not in your face. And it’s like
00:43:14.800 all of these things that people make so
00:43:16.960 dramatic online.
00:43:19.280 I believe most people go out and have a
00:43:21.200 pretty normal day.
00:43:23.680 >> So much of what’s happening right now.
00:43:25.680 >> Okay. Hold on. I’d like to say something
00:43:26.960 really quickly.
00:43:27.599 >> Please do.
00:43:29.200 Do you know who I have the most issues
00:43:30.560 with? And I’m not even joking. Not
00:43:34.000 joking.
00:43:35.280 >> Who?
00:43:35.839 >> These men that drive these lifted trucks
00:43:38.480 that cut me off. And then they can have
00:43:41.200 these big flags. It’s always some
00:43:43.119 country bumpkin who cuts me off. And
00:43:46.640 then I honk to remind them I’m here and
00:43:48.560 you’re about to hit me. And then they go
00:43:50.800 off and they try to cut me off. You
00:43:52.720 can’t you can’t honk at people anymore
00:43:55.520 when they’ve done something wrong
00:43:56.960 because
00:43:57.280 >> No, but yesterday this person I’m on
00:44:00.880 55th Avenue
00:44:02.480 >> and they pull up right next to me,
00:44:04.480 lifted truck and I’m like, "Dude, you’re
00:44:07.760 going to hit me. This is not a two-lane
00:44:10.079 road." So, I’m honking because he’s not
00:44:12.400 letting me get over because I’m making a
00:44:14.000 right. And that guy literally I had to
00:44:18.240 go a different way because he was going
00:44:19.760 to run me off the road. And I’ve
00:44:20.800 experienced that with other guys. Like
00:44:22.400 >> the person with the bigger emotion is is
00:44:24.400 the quote unquote right one.
00:44:26.079 >> Yes.
00:44:26.400 >> And and that’s what it is. And and so
00:44:28.720 often in recent history, too, it’s you
00:44:32.400 call somebody out for doing something
00:44:34.160 wrong. And the villain in this situation
00:44:36.800 is not the person who did something
00:44:38.160 wrong. It’s the person who called out
00:44:39.760 the wrongdoer. How dare you? How dare
00:44:42.720 you say that? How dare you categorize
00:44:45.280 somebody as doing something wrong? It’s
00:44:47.040 the same same emotions that we’ve been
00:44:49.040 talking. You end up going, "Okay, the
00:44:51.839 more emotional person, we all have to
00:44:53.440 have an adult in the room. We can’t have
00:44:55.359 a temper tantrum,
00:44:56.960 >> right?"
00:44:57.280 >> And that’s what they’re having. They’re
00:44:58.480 having temper tantrums on the road,
00:45:00.400 >> right?
00:45:01.440 >> I get it. You might have a bad day. I
00:45:03.280 get it. You know, you give grace and
00:45:04.720 you’re like, I’m giving grace. I’m
00:45:06.880 giving grace. I’m giving grace until I’m
00:45:09.680 greasy with grace.
00:45:12.319 A greasy grace constantly. It’s like, oh
00:45:15.119 my gosh, stop. Control your emotions a
00:45:19.359 little bit. Yes, I get it. It comes from
00:45:22.560 when you were a child and YOU WEREN’T
00:45:24.079 LISTEN. I wasn’t listened to. I was a
00:45:26.720 middle child. I was I was You should
00:45:30.720 feel bad for me,
00:45:32.400 >> right?
00:45:32.800 >> I’m a victim.
00:45:35.280 I am a victim of circumstance being
00:45:37.200 popped out second in line.
00:45:39.520 >> You can have the emotion, but you’ve got
00:45:41.599 to keep it in check.
00:45:42.640 >> You have to keep it in check because
00:45:43.680 otherwise other people have to be the
00:45:45.040 adults and we’re like, "Come on now."
00:45:46.800 Yeah. And what that does is it sets up
00:45:51.040 that wrong now becomes right.
00:45:54.240 >> Right.
00:45:55.839 >> And that reminds us of the movie that we
00:45:58.880 just watched on the plane.
00:46:00.319 >> Yes. It was Aladdin. And I pointed this
00:46:03.200 out.
00:46:03.599 >> This is the liveaction version of
00:46:05.359 Aladdin with Will Smith.
00:46:06.800 >> So Aladdin is with Princess Jasmine. And
00:46:11.040 Aladdin
00:46:12.880 Princess Jasmine basically they’re
00:46:15.040 stealing,
00:46:15.760 >> right? So, this is the very beginning of
00:46:17.040 the movie when Princess Princess Jasmine
00:46:19.599 is out in the streets to see the people.
00:46:21.760 >> Yes. And she’s basically stealing bread
00:46:26.079 from a worker and she goes, "But look at
00:46:29.200 these poor children. They haven’t
00:46:30.640 eaten." Okay, but why does that make it
00:46:32.880 okay for you to steal from him? How do
00:46:34.240 you know he hasn’t already given away 20
00:46:35.839 loaves? Like it made it feel like the
00:46:39.760 sake of stealing and the emotion behind
00:46:42.560 it because what is wrong should be right
00:46:44.480 and what is right should be wrong. It
00:46:47.280 >> it makes you feel like stealing for a
00:46:50.079 good reason is okay to steal.
00:46:53.599 >> It’s romanticized.
00:46:54.800 >> Yes.
00:46:55.200 >> It’s absolutely romanticized that she’s
00:46:58.160 the hero or the heroine. she’s the one
00:47:00.560 that’s helping people and so she’s
00:47:02.640 stealing and giving it to the kids and
00:47:04.720 and the guy who’s selling the bread is
00:47:07.760 trying to earn a living probably to
00:47:09.839 support his family. And so as that bread
00:47:13.119 gets stolen from him, the heroine is is
00:47:16.640 the one that’s that’s revered as doing
00:47:19.359 the right thing and helping people. And
00:47:21.359 this poor guy says, "Don’t steal from
00:47:23.200 me." And he’s the villain,
00:47:24.800 >> right? It’s messed up. It’s Yes.
00:47:27.440 Granted, um, corporate America can be
00:47:31.599 awful. There can be people that are
00:47:33.280 awful, but we have to remember 5% of the
00:47:35.680 people make 95% look bad.
00:47:38.079 >> Yeah.
00:47:38.400 >> And 95% of people are just trying to
00:47:40.400 earn a living. They’re just trying to do
00:47:43.280 what’s right and within the laws. And
00:47:48.880 how do you know what they have or
00:47:50.480 haven’t done towards for their
00:47:52.000 community?
00:47:52.640 >> Totally.
00:47:53.280 >> Because then it’s it’s like, well, why
00:47:54.880 aren’t you telling everybody? Well, the
00:47:56.160 Bible says you should do it
00:47:58.160 >> without putting your name on it.
00:47:59.200 >> Yeah. Don’t parade it around.
00:48:00.400 >> So, how do you know what they’re giving
00:48:01.440 or aren’t giving, right? You know, and
00:48:03.839 it does. It romanticizes, you know, a
00:48:06.240 lot of movies also romanticize cheating.
00:48:08.319 >> No, but Hollywood does this. They flip
00:48:10.000 the script all the time. And and they do
00:48:12.079 it for effect in their movies, but it’s
00:48:14.079 a common go-to for them is to make the
00:48:17.440 the the law and order and and logical
00:48:22.400 the the villain and in the wrong. And
00:48:25.119 the ones that’s acting on emotion is the
00:48:28.960 right one. And it plays into what we’re
00:48:31.280 seeing in society right now.
00:48:32.880 >> Ask guys like guys that are like these
00:48:35.040 guys like you know we’ve even talked to
00:48:37.280 Matt or being you know promiscuous or
00:48:39.599 ruining your marriages. I mean I’m sure
00:48:42.079 it ends with that girl that you’re
00:48:43.839 deciding to be horny about, right? Your
00:48:45.839 emotions don’t tell you if two days
00:48:47.760 later you go to the gym and there’s a
00:48:49.119 girl in front of you. I mean like how
00:48:51.040 many women if you didn’t control if if
00:48:53.200 women are men. I’m not just saying just
00:48:54.720 men. If you don’t control your emotions,
00:48:57.839 you probably will be a hussy. Hus husky
00:49:02.319 >> or a husky. I mean,
00:49:04.640 >> just a jigalo
00:49:07.119 everywhere I go. You’re going to be a
00:49:09.760 jigalo or a hussy. I mean, we have to
00:49:13.440 control our emotions or you’re going to
00:49:15.680 have 40,000 massages and you know,
00:49:18.640 you’re like, we have to control our
00:49:21.359 emotions.
00:49:22.079 >> We’re more than just animalistic. We
00:49:23.760 have to be the the logic and reason and
00:49:27.440 self-control.
00:49:28.480 >> So if you followed your emotions every
00:49:30.480 day, we’d be lazy, having sex, shopping,
00:49:34.559 and gambling,
00:49:36.079 >> right?
00:49:36.640 >> And getting super fat every single day,
00:49:39.680 >> just gluttonous. Isn’t that gluttony?
00:49:41.920 >> Yes, it is.
00:49:42.800 >> It’s gluttony.
00:49:43.520 >> It is.
00:49:44.079 >> And God
00:49:46.559 tells us not to be gluttonous.
00:49:48.160 >> So, I’ve got one other movie to tie into
00:49:50.480 that, too. I don’t know. I’m doing movie
00:49:52.559 things today. But the the whole
00:49:54.960 Hollywood flipped the script where where
00:49:57.440 right is wrong and wrong is right.
00:49:59.119 >> That sounds like it should be a song.
00:50:00.319 Right is wrong and wrong is right. Right
00:50:02.640 is wrong and wrong is right. Right is
00:50:05.040 wrong and wrong is right. All right.
00:50:06.480 Anyways, go ahead.
00:50:07.839 >> The other one that comes to mind
00:50:09.040 >> No, I have not been drinking.
00:50:10.240 >> No. The other one that comes to mind
00:50:11.680 that I’ve thought about a lot through
00:50:13.440 the years is the the movie A Few Good
00:50:16.319 Men with Tom Cruz and Jack Nicholson.
00:50:19.040 >> I just love that because it’s an
00:50:20.000 attorney movie.
00:50:20.800 >> Yeah. No, I love the movie, but here’s
00:50:23.280 the thing. That’s one where they flip
00:50:25.839 the script and right is wrong and wrong
00:50:28.559 is right. And and what I always say, my
00:50:30.559 my thought about that movie is if you
00:50:33.760 remember it, if you have if you don’t,
00:50:35.040 go back and watch it, but Jack Nicholson
00:50:37.200 plays the villain. He’s the the colonel.
00:50:39.119 He’s Colonel Jessup from the Army and
00:50:41.200 he’s down in Guantanamo Bay and he’s
00:50:43.440 he’s in charge of that uh military base
00:50:46.720 and he’s a real hard ass and he ends up
00:50:51.359 having to testify and and Tom Cruz is
00:50:54.240 cross-examining him in court and that’s
00:50:56.640 the famous line where he yells, "You
00:50:58.720 can’t handle the truth." and he launches
00:51:01.040 into this whole thing about, you know,
00:51:04.240 I’m down there doing a job and in and
00:51:07.520 you may not like what I do. You may not
00:51:09.520 like how I do it, but there’s a part of
00:51:11.760 you deep down inside where you want me
00:51:14.400 on that line. You need me on that line.
00:51:17.280 And it’s because that’s his job to do
00:51:19.599 it. And honestly, my statement about
00:51:22.079 that movie is Colonel Jessup had it
00:51:24.720 right. And what they did, he yelled at
00:51:27.040 the very end, "All you did was weaken a
00:51:28.960 nation." And he’s exactly right because
00:51:31.680 that movie was flipping the script where
00:51:33.920 Tom Cruz was was defending these guys
00:51:37.440 and it was all based on this feel-good
00:51:39.599 emotion about they were trying to do the
00:51:41.440 right thing and they were trying to help
00:51:42.880 the underdog. And you’ve got this
00:51:44.880 country that’s being defended by this
00:51:47.280 colonel and and has a very very serious
00:51:50.559 job where if he does the wrong thing,
00:51:52.319 people will die. And that’s actually one
00:51:54.480 of the lines that he says. He had it
00:51:56.480 right. We have to have that type of
00:51:59.440 person. We have to have those types of
00:52:01.680 laws and rules. We have to have those
00:52:04.319 characters. And he had it right. Colonel
00:52:06.160 Jessup had it right. That’s flipping the
00:52:07.920 script like we talked about,
00:52:08.800 >> right? And I’d love to ask people, so so
00:52:10.400 you hate Trump, but yet let’s say he
00:52:12.640 took away income tax. Would you then
00:52:14.880 say, "No, no, no. Don’t take mine away
00:52:16.480 because I can’t stand you.
00:52:18.240 >> I’m still going to pay it."
00:52:19.599 >> No. Exactly.
00:52:20.400 >> Are they going to reap the benefits?
00:52:22.400 Totally. I’ll reap the benefits, but he
00:52:24.000 still sucks.
00:52:24.720 >> Right. Right.
00:52:25.440 >> Okay. Well, then don’t.
00:52:27.760 >> Right. That’s what they always say.
00:52:29.760 >> He’s flipping the script. And but then
00:52:31.359 like
00:52:32.160 >> I don’t know.
00:52:32.800 >> Yeah. When it comes re-election time or
00:52:34.480 when it comes election time, they always
00:52:36.160 say, "Are you better off now than you
00:52:37.839 were four years ago?" And if you are,
00:52:40.240 then it’s pretty clear which direction
00:52:42.160 you should vote.
00:52:43.520 >> Yeah. It’s a gang mentality.
00:52:45.280 >> Yeah. Yeah. It really is. It’s so much
00:52:47.839 ruled by emotion and it’s so much ruled
00:52:50.720 by
00:52:52.559 views and popularity and going viral
00:52:56.480 online.
00:52:57.280 >> I want to be viral.
00:52:58.480 >> Yeah.
00:52:59.359 >> Yeah.
00:53:01.200 >> But I think that’s that’s what it all
00:53:03.040 comes down to with so much of that stuff
00:53:04.720 with that emotion.
00:53:07.040 Got to keep it in check.
00:53:09.359 >> Got to keep it in check. That’s right.
00:53:11.359 And we have anything else that we were
00:53:13.200 thinking of talking about today? I think
00:53:15.599 that’s all we got.
00:53:16.720 >> Hope we did good for you guys.
