JT Safe Roads Scholarship —

Defensive Driving Scholarship For Local Teens

In Memory of Jeffrey Pellegrini-Lange

Gerber Injury Law is proud to launch the JT Safe Roads Scholarship, awarding twelve (12) defensive driving scholarships valued at $2,000 each to teens ages 15½ to 18 over the next 12 months.

This scholarship exists for one purpose: help young drivers build safer habits early — and help families protect what matters most.

This program is created in honor of Jeffrey “JT” Pellegrini-Lange, who tragically lost his life at 19 years old in a car accident. JT’s story is a reminder that road safety isn’t abstract — it’s personal. Through this scholarship, we hope to turn heartbreak into prevention and awareness into action.

What The Scholarship Covers

Each award provides up to $2,000 toward an approved defensive driving program (or an equivalent safe-driving education experience, depending on availability in your area).

Recipients: 12 total scholarships
Age range: 15½–18
Timeline: Awarded over the next 12 months

Note: Scholarship funds are paid directly to the approved provider whenever possible.

  • Must have parent/guardian consent if under 18
