00:01:40.000 the doctor there are always risks with
00:01:42.640 every single medical procedure they may
00:01:45.119 call and describe a horribly negligent
00:01:47.360 situation and say something like
00:01:49.520 i could have been hurt or i could have
00:01:51.439 been killed or someone is going to get
00:01:53.920 hurt
00:01:54.720 in that situation it doesn’t matter how
00:01:56.799 awful the situation appears if there’s
00:01:59.040 no actual injury we can’t pursue the
00:02:01.600 negligent person or business for any
00:02:03.920 damages the right thing to do in
00:02:06.240 situations that i just mentioned is to
00:02:08.639 contact that person or that business and
00:02:11.280 simply make them aware so they can
00:02:13.440 correct the issue
00:02:14.800 i know there have been multiple times
00:02:16.319 where megan and i have been out
00:02:18.000 somewhere and either she points
00:02:19.599 something out or i point something out
00:02:21.680 and we say you know what that’s a
00:02:22.720 dangerous situation something needs to
00:02:24.959 be done about that or somebody’s going
00:02:26.480 to get hurt and she’ll remind me and say
00:02:28.400 you know what we need to go tell them we
00:02:29.920 need to go get it fixed right now so
00:02:32.319 that way somebody doesn’t get hurt and
00:02:34.720 it’s a great reminder the entire reason
00:02:37.200 we do what we do is to make people and
00:02:40.000 businesses consider safety we don’t just
00:02:42.879 lie and wait for an injury to happen if
00:02:44.959 we’re being true to who we are and what
00:02:46.959 we do we don’t want people to be injured
00:02:49.599 that’s really the bottom line i know it
00:02:51.680 seems kind of ironic for an injury
00:02:53.599 attorney to be sitting here in front of
00:02:55.360 you taking this time and energy to make
00:02:57.760 a video and release to the general
00:02:59.360 public telling you that we don’t want
00:03:01.280 you to get hurt and that we don’t want
00:03:03.120 you to have to call us because that
00:03:04.560 means that something tragic most likely
00:03:06.480 took place that shouldn’t have
00:03:08.560 but if you are in the unfortunate
00:03:11.040 circumstance of having an injury we want
00:03:13.440 you to know that we exist and that we
00:03:15.920 have huge hearts for helping people just
00:03:18.159 like you and many others who have been
00:03:20.319 hurt in that situation you know this
00:03:22.879 reminds me of one of my favorite lawyer
00:03:24.640 jokes so there’s this guy lying in bed
00:03:27.200 at the hospital and his wife comes in to
00:03:29.280 see him as she walks in she sees three
00:03:31.280 balloons that are super bright and
00:03:32.720 colorful and they’re attached to this
00:03:34.239 vase with these beautiful flowers and
00:03:36.640 the first balloon says get well and the
00:03:38.799 second balloon says enough
00:03:41.120 and then third balloon says to testify
00:03:48.239 so the wife is like
00:03:50.080 i see your attorney stop behind
